Hopefully a simple question - where does the 246 terminate / start from at Chartwell? I know it's a few months before it resumes service to Chartwell but Google maps isn't clear as to what happens - presumably because there is no timetable / stop data to reflect on the map. Does it turn via the Car Park facility? That looks to be the only viable way for a bus to turn round. In the car park, goes in one entrance and out the other. There is a car park attendant present in case the driver has any problems.

On the one occasion I did the 246 down to Chartwell the car park attendant was extremely helpful in making sure there was space to reverse and park the bus in the area reserved for coaches. He also told me he tried to make sure he didn’t let any coaches leave towards Westerham when he knew the bus was due since the lanes directly outside Chartwell are not the biggest! I have to say that the Chartwell terminus is probably the most picturesque terminus I’ve had the pleasure to use. I’d love us to pinch the 246 back when it comes up for tender - such a fantastic route!

Which are the longest day routes (not night buses)? Inspired by diamond geezer’s shortest bus routes...
I guess X26 is the winner by far - am trying to compile a top 10 which to do. I came up with the following above 20km:
X26, 111, 246, 358, 465, 314, 331, 492, 216, 229, 232, 269, 407, 455, 463, 607, 96, 140, 285, 466, 493
What do you think?

should metroline travel and metroline west be together on fandom Why don't you ask that over there rather than here?

Why don't you ask that over there rather than here? i have But it is not a problem here ... and whatever we decide would have no bearing on the outcome

Since the route branding at Hayes and Barking (correct me if I’m wrong) are trials will the results of route branding trials be released? Will route branding be phased in? When will the route branding be phased in?

Since the route branding at Hayes and Barking (correct me if I’m wrong) are trials will the results of route branding trials be released? Will route branding be phased in? When will the route branding be phased in? No idea No idea No idea TfL have said absolutely nothing about any of this. I get the impression that they've lost interest in it but can't be bothered to actually remove the branding from buses and from stops as well as reversing the appallingly bad redesign of spider maps. Strikes me as one of those things they were forced to do by the Mayor but didn't really want to do and now the Mayor isn't bothered either so there's no follow up or close out. I also suspect that whoever "owned" the project has been reorganised into another post or has left TfL. Buses have lost 20% of their staff (over 110 people) so far this financial year (in the recent TfL Board Papers).
