I believe in order to comply with EuroVI standards, engines must filter and burn harmful particles rather than emtting them as older buses do Not sure whether it is the same for buses and cars, but for diesel cars, Euro 5 and 6 both have DPF, Euro 6 having Adblue systems to reduce NOx levels. Most buses that were Euro IV and above from new have Ad-Blue fitted when built - Euro IV & V Scanias & MAN's were the exceptions. A number of older buses had Ad Blue tanks installed when fitted with emissions technology.

How would buses turn around at Knightsbridge? It's not possible any bus terminating at Knightsbridge would probably run back to the depot afterwards.

Why don't the 30, 73, 205, 476, N73 and N205 serve St Pancras eastbound?

Why don't the 30, 73, 205, 476, N73 and N205 serve St Pancras eastbound? Because (a) there isn't room for all eastbound routes to stop outside the station without causing too much congestion, and (b) these routes stop very close to St Pancras anyway, at the stop in front of King's Cross station. The 10, 59, 91 and 390 have a stop in front of the station because they don't stop again until York Way, which would involve a longer walk to St Pancras.

It used to be served by the 14,18,30,73,77A and 239 when I used to work there, and the 14s were something like 15bph and the 73 around 20-25 bph in the peaks.

The news says that bus routes were cancelled because of th Climate protestors so what were the routes that were cancelled in? Sloppy journalism. I heard the same thing on the radio and just ignored it. Lots of curtailments and running in sections but nothing was wholly suspended. Wait until they start b*ggering up the tube network on Wednesday. That's going to end in tears because people will get hurt. It only takes one slip or trip for people to fall down stairs or escalators or fall off platforms or into gaps between trains and platform edges. It is a completely stupid thing to do given a good metro system is part of the public transport answer to dealing with car dependency and pollution.

As I mentioned in another thread, while I have my sympathies for climate change and that we need to do more, these guys are just ridiculous (for lack of a stronger word). No better than the flat-earth people / anti-vaccine campaigners these guys are. Should be sent back to the Stone Age!
