Had it today on the 407, the only difference you can really notice is the fleet number font being more in line with the rest of Abellio's MMC's. Despite being in service two days there were already a few scuffs on the handlebars! Here are the pics I took of refurbished 2501: flic.kr/p/2iDPocnflic.kr/p/2iDPossFeels like yesterday that I saw this bus on its first ever journey in service on the 407 back in January 2015 before most of the MMC's had actually entered service and its mad to think that it has already received its mid life refurbishment.

I don’t know why the new WOB blinds don’t get added after the refurbishments, it would make it look a whole lot better.

Why waste money on blinds when the old set is still getting the job done perfectly well?

I understand that powerblinds are very expensive compared to the older manual wind variants and therefore more economical for them to be replaced when absolutely necessary, ie depot transfer or significant route loss/gains. Perhaps had the 270¹ been due for BC that may have been the catalyst in getting those blinds replaced, bearing in mind they could also have simply attached add-ons to the existing blind roll. ¹ ‐ and/or Croydon area tender gains

36603 refurbished, think that’s the first Enviro200 MMC to be refurbished God I do feel old... Has it retained the black area around the windows (unlike Stagecoach's new livery E200MMCs outside of London)? And does it have the updated Stagecoach logo?

It has retained the black areas around the windows and at the front underneath the windscreen and it has the old logo.

I don’t know why the new WOB blinds don’t get added after the refurbishments, it would make it look a whole lot better. Why waste money on blinds when the old set is still getting the job done perfectly well? The refurb requirements for buses includes the cleaning of blind glasses and fitting of new blinds. Therefore, surprised that it wasn’t done at that point...
