A further one or two in the DP 200 range are also single door, but contrary to other reports thse remain as single door. All other DP of BT were delivered as double door.

Well I have seen it had the green seats of the single like the single door buses and also where new black doors which weren’t put in properly they slam.

DP192 HAS been converted to a dual door vehicle. It was done about 2 years ago i think. It's not the best bit of work i've ever seen, but it's dual operational nonetheless. The single door vehicles are DP189/90/1/206 and 207. The dual door ones are DP192-205 AND 208/9. Hope this helps. My own repaint is 17392 (BK) though it might have been reported already

Note the thread is Repaints/Refurbs. Suppose you could count a conversion to dual door as the latter. However, does seem the most appropriate thread on here for that kind of thing

quite agree John, although glad Blue Triangle gave up trying to do dual door conversions. Sorry,I'm a bit confused here. The original post referred to 'DP19', a number BT have never had, then goes on to refer to 'conversions'. AFAIK BT have never converted ANY of their DP's (189-208?) from single to dual door, but DO have a quantity of BOTH within this number range. AFAIK they have four as single door for the 372, and purchased one or two more towards the end of the batch. It was suggested that the original batch WERE dualled last year, but that report was erronious. Is it now being suggested that there HAS been a more recent conversion? If so, what are the CORRECT fleet numbers?

The reports of DP192 being dualled two years ago ARE totally erronious. I made a point of checking all four of thesr vehicles as recently as July/August this year, and DP192 was still single doored then.

Thank you for that. Just shows that no matter how hard you look for something, you can still miss it. All that remains is to establish if BT did the conversion themselves, and also WHEN it was done. As the photgraph is dated March 2007, perhaps I really DO need that new pair of spectacles! ;D
