i was on the 40 one day last week, it was 06VWL I Got on the bus near east street, the bus said 40 to aldgate then an asterix came up until elephant and castle where it was played again and then was not played till aldgate station? what does the asterix mean? These problems seem to be far too common, I was on the 109 the other day coming from Brixton Station, it displayed "BRIXTON STATION" with the asterix all the way to Streatham Hill Station (the junction between Leigham Court Road and Drewstead Road) and then it started announcing the bus stop names etc. I'm guessing the asterix could mean no signal, but I'm not a bus driver so I wouldn't know. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Correct, there seems to be black spots were the iBus loses the signal, howeverthis only seems to effect certain routes, for instance the N63 works fine down London Road, yet the N89 that takes the same route loses the signal

i know it sounds stupid, but i could be the positionaing of the Ibus Pods on the roof. I can see there's actually no standard set positioning and the location varies vehicle to vehicle and i also notice Ibus does get affected by overhanging trees as well.
