Excellent. Can't wait to see them at Stratford ;D Also, i've just noticed that they're conventional sliding doors rather than the plug variant which alot of rail operators are prefering

These lot have the plug doors but the amount of times I've travelled on them and the doors have had trouble closing is just silly.

Sliding doors are faster, so they are more suited for metro services. Plug doors seal the interior far more effectively, so a used on longer distance services where comfort and noise is important.

So, seeing as they're currently replacing Class 313's with the 378, that would mean in theory that the 315's could be replaced by something very similar

The 315's could possibly be replaced with Electrostars or even Desiros, (just a thought, nothing's been confirmed AFAIK...)
Another note: the existing LO 313's are to be transferred to First Capital Connect to increase capacity on the existing suburban stopping services. The 508s however are uncertain.
(EDIT: AFAIK 508's are going to Merseyrail)

Replacements for the West Anglia inner suburban fleet aren't yet decided

Also from what i've heard the 378's are being tested at night on c2c between 1am and 4am.
I know earlier this week i was in Southend and saw a First Class 66 (or similar) dragging a 3 car 378 towards London and i can only assume they are being stored at MOD Pigs Bay in Shoeburyness.
Cheers

The 378 you saw was actually on test! I believe it's being tested between Shoeburyness and Leigh on sea only.

Forgot to mention this yesterday, but there was one of the 378's stored at Ilford depot yesterday morning. Went past today and it seems to have gone

After reading that, it does seem to explain why it was at Ilford the other day too as i know Ilford depot do carry out alot of maintenance work and repair/paint jobs for other operators. In fact, i believe there was a First Great Western unit in there the other day. Quite often see Hull Trains units there too
