Word on the street is that Countryliner is up for sale. No word yet on who has put an offer in yet though.
They have depots in Surrey and West and East Sussex running local bus services, coach private hire and school services for LEAs.

If it is true, which at the moment is purely a rumour then the only operator I could see buying it would be Metrobus.

I could see Arriva being interested, The operating area was at one stage Arriva Stomping Ground.
Wouldn't rule out First either, they could tie it in with thier London operation, like they do with Bracknell and the former Beeline operating area.
Nat-ex could see it as Expansion for Travel Surrey, again another possible and viable bidder.
I think the competition commission would have something to say if Metrobus or Go-Ahead were to make a bid, as they already have a successful and rather substantial network in Surrey and Sussex.
