I got a 256 today with iBus installed, which isn't odd as GY is being installed. However, where the iBus screen was located was. Where other buses have them on the wall behind the driver, the Cadets at GY have had them installed in the middle on the roof. Much better location IMO, but i was wondering if any other vehicles have got this in a different location to the "norm"

I'm presuming your talking about the passenger's display. Ours at BX are as follows. PVL's - Downstairs, behind stairs in wheelchair bay (or opposite wheelchair bay depending on bay location ), Upstairs at very front of bus in roof. E's - Downstairs behind stairs in Wheelchair Bay upstairs at the top of the stairs attached to grab rails. LDP's and DMS/L's alongside cab in roof.

Our tridents have the same location as the PVLs mentioned by lc1. I noticed the EVLs at LG sutton garage has the ibus display and the stopping display together. Followed the back of an N155 the other day.

Our Enviro's have been done slightly differently to the ones at BX - the iBus display replaced the upstairs "Stopping" display

See, i like the positioning of the GY Cadets iBus. Looks much better, plus it provides a better view for all passengers. However, it would never work on dd'd as people would be smacking their heads against it too often lol.
I'm also wondering whether other Arriva Cadets have had this put in the same place?

I shall have to get myself out on a 256 at some point and see where they've put it.

On CT Plus's Esteems the Display looks so weird they've got the fat stopping sign the the ibus underneath it looks weird.
If You been on an esteem/E200 Dart preflablly Ct Plus's then you'll know what i'm talking about
On Lea Interchanges's 51 Reg Presidents, The Upper Deck stopping sign has also been replaced.

Just wanted to say I was wrong (yes it happens occassionaly ) I drove one of our DML's the other week and the Passenger iBus display was on the back of the cab

On a reletated note, why is it that Metrolines early model TE's do not have a passenger display on the top deck? I understand that a new bracket/enclosure would have to be made to house them, but this has been done for other (older) bus models, such as those on the 390, so why not the TE's?

On ALX200 and Dart SLF single deckers parts of the drivers cab are not attached to the interior of the bus. This is probably why the iBus has been installed in the middle of the bus instead of the drivers cab.
