Some news about Metrobus
Dart/Caetano 369, 371, 373 & 374 were transferred from Crawley up to Orpington on Friday 28th November ready for the start of the seasonal Bromley Park & Ride service today. These have been released from Crawley by utilising some Omnidekkas (471, 472, 476, 478) on Crawley 'town' routes.
MPDs 288 and 289 have returned from refurbishment and are now in the latest blue livery. They will be prepared for service next week. 287 is due to return from refurbishment next week, as is the fifth Omnidekka- 475.
Currently under refurbishment for London use are Omnicity 519 and MPDs 274-277.
Omnidekka 497 will transfer from Croydon to Orpington this weekend.
The MAN/ADL Enviros (706-708) for Croydon are due to arrive in about a week.

The MAN/ADL Enviros (706-708) for Croydon are due to arrive in about a week. It's about time. Thanks for letting us know. Any news on the MAN/MCV's due for the 202?

I am very intrigued to know what those MAN/E200s look like.

I hope those McVs come on ZF. I think that the MMs sound wicked so I'd like to hear what the ZF version sounds like.

I am very intrigued to know what those MAN/E200s look like. I think the most obvious difference from a Dart E200 would be the engine grill. I believe the MAN version is positioned on the nearside, similar to the Tridents.

CCK you are aware that though those Ms may sound to you as if on ZF, as the new bendys on the 453 did to me. I believe that all metrolines MMs are 4 speed voith.

The e200s are MAN 18.240 and the MCVs are more likely to be 14.240 as you can only get the MAN 18.240 chassis on the e200s and e300s (unless I missed any other new buses out).

I've just noticed something different about MAN/MCV Evolution's. If you take a look at these two pictures I have provided below, you may be able to tell the difference: Heathrow Shuttle MAN/MCV - jimmyshengukbuses2.fotopic.net/p49471436.htmlMetroline MAN/MCV - www.londonbusesbyadam.fotopic.net/p54545502.htmlIf you take a look at the second link (the Metroline vehicle), you can see that the side windows go higher than the ones towards the front, right after the exit doors, whereas with the Heathrow Shuttle Bus (first link) all the side windows are straight and at the same position. Is this some sort of updated version of the MAN/MCV, or is this shape unique to the Heathrow shuttle buses? Looks neater in my opinion.

It worked for me, but I've changed the link so it should work now

I think that with the BAA Heathrow MAN/MCV the window surrounds have been painted black, as I can just make out what looks like a shorter set of windows towards the rear. It would give the impression that the windows are all of full height. Either that or they're bonded glazing. But that's just me

They're definately bonded glazing. I'd put £100 on that one ;D

Sutton routes 93/151/154 are due to obtain these vehicles this coming Saturday and nothing has been mentioned of them. I wonder if Optare have even begun building them.
