Go-Coach had an Optare Versa and a VLP out on Earl's Court to Wimbledon yesterday - the Versa was in service. Uno and CT sent MMC Cities and United sent LTs.

Abellio Distict line Wimbledon service also using CT Plus, Uno and Reading Buses Interesting - three operators that all have vehicles with E400 City bodywork in their fleets. Although in my experience Reading Buses tends to use its claret and emerald liveried E400 MMCs on rail replacement. I've recently moved to Putney and whenever the RR is running, all I can see from Reading are the green MMC's with Uno and Metroline having standby buses in Putney & Southfields (Haven't been to Hammersmith or Earls Court so may be some others)

What you see in putney you will see in Earls court so the same really.

Don’t forget the couple of DPS left on the 72 lol - I get what you mean though - nothing too interesting bar them now though I do strangely like the DM’s.

Lol yeah although it's very hard to find out where they are now since nearly the whole route is on diverson so difficult to track. Last summer Hammersmith was good as you had the last TA/TLA on the 220 and for RAPT in general. The DMs are alright no means the best single Decker in London but I like any type that is unique in London.

Does anyone know what buses were used this morning on the Thameslink RR service Mill Hill Broadway - London St. Pancras Intl? Also is there any official routeing or do operators decide for themselves (as long as they serve all required stations/stops)?

Go-ahead branded coaches appeared to be running [at least some of] the service yesterday

The rail replacement service on this line is often absolutely dire - Go-Ahead keep sending drivers/using contractors who genuinely don't have a clue and do not bother to serve the stations properly. It causes no end of headaches for station staff who constantly have to be scrambling to find taxis for customers to get to the airport when the buses don't show up!

A driver I know who does rail replacement work from BX has told me a few horror stories about drivers getting hopelessly lost and as you've mentioned not serving the correct pick up point at stations is a common problem.

A few days ago I covered the SE RRP between Dartford and Woolwich. My PVL and an MHV departed Dartford towards Slade Green together(presumably because our driver was new to the route) and at Abbey Wood our leader took McLeod Road and Basildon Road while we took Knee Hill and Bostall Hill. Is there a fixed route or do drivers go any route as they please.

The running times do not support battering the bus over all those humps on the 177 line of route.

Not surprised - the St Pancras to St Albans line is a lost cause north of West Hampstead where rail replacement is concerned!

Canning Town to Barking is where it's at for hired in buses from operators not often seen on TfL routes. I've seen buses from Redbridge Council, Centrebus and Acme Transport Services. Some are harder to identify - there's a PDL out in ex EOS livery - legals say Swallow Coach co and ED20 which has no GAL logos so presume it has been sold on.
