Where would the released MMCs go? To be used for a new contract. why would they release vehicles from one contract on to a new contract?

To be used for a new contract. why would they release vehicles from one contract on to a new contract? A cheap bid maybe. It’s what Metroline like to do all the time.

The 481's changeover arrangement is buses runnning dead from West Mid to AH.

The 481's changeover arrangement is buses runnning dead from West Mid to AH. And it's 3 buses and 3 drivers on a Sunday - same bus and driver all day. Somewhat unusual practice for TfL-land!

Is there an issue with the Hybrids on the 120?
Looking at LVF there has been a sheer amount of Diesels on it.

Is there an issue with the Hybrids on the 120? Looking at LVF there has been a sheer amount of Diesels on it. There's currently a lot of fleet mixing going on around AH/SG. The 237 has begun its permanent conversion to hybrid and many of the 120's buses are used on the 237 daily.

I see the LVF VOR list has been updated to include VW1040, VW1175 and VW1186. Have those gone mechanical/RTC’ed or simply mothballed for spares pending withdrawal?
Interestingly enough, VW1040 has been taxed until April 2025.

The Kite order confirms that Wrightbus will now be offering the type in 10.2m length. I presume these are the versions Arriva’s route 255 will be getting as well.

Wowsers - I didn't have that on my 2024 bus order bingo! Great to see shorter Kites available.

So much for 'standardisation'. Be an interesting fleet.

Gives further hope 98 could go down the Volvo electric route. My local C11/143 getting Wright Kites are a nice surprise. Speaking of which, I hope this will be very soon rather than later. Most of the current diesel allocation has been sounding ropey lately, and would probably cut down on the towing bill as well.😂 Although personally disappointed 210 going down the E400EV route. Much prefer WDEs.

Yes, there is probably hope of the 98 getting BZLs, but if you look at the order, they ordered BZLs for the 206 and one E400 EV, this clearly shows they might not be interested in the double decker variant, or may leave it for future orders. E400 EVs for 98 would be the best guess judging by these orders!

Everything is on the table following these orders so it's hard to even judge what would be a best guess given the variation, particularly the extremely surprising return to ADL for Metroline who have primarily long favoured Volvo and even Wrightbus for their orders - before this, it was fair to presume that all single decker orders would be Volvo going forward and likely deckers would be Wrightbus related given the last few orders.
