Fake news. It is VW 1832/6. Bad eyes. Looks like a swap for VMHs then, as a few of the PB ones moved to PA last week. I am told that they are cover for 2 x VWHs at a time going to Volvo for some sort of modification. (That is Volvo the bus builder, not Volvo the esteemed correspondent of this forum).

I’ve been told around 15 have already been done which is more than needed for the X140 so makes me think are they doing the whole batch of VWHs at HD?

I could be wrong but I think he was referring to the VWHs at PB in which aren’t going for the X140. His reply is a direct reply to the theory that the VWs were swapped for VMHs at PB,

But the X140 isn’t coming from PB nor using the ex 34 VWHs. My mistake. For some reason I thought it was about the HD VWHs 🤦♂️

It has been stated elsewhere on an e-mail gen group that VW1832/6/8 @ PB & VW1839 @ HD are to do with something called the Volvo Campaign project, which was also the reason why VW1832/6 were at PA beforehand.

According to Metroline's website they were finalists for 5 awards this year. They were shortlisted for:
Bus & The Community - "Metroline’s School Library Bus has been nominated in the Bus & the Community category. The award recognises bus projects or initiatives which make life better and make big improvements for local people in the community. Metroline engineers worked tirelessly to convert a double deck bus into a special library bus to be made a permanent part of the playground at a local primary school." (Quoted exactly from their website)
Top London Bus Driver - "Willesden-based Bus Driver Agnieszka Narbut was shortlisted in the Top London Bus Driver category. The award sponsored by Transport for London (TfL) and Luke Rees-Pulley Charitable Trust, celebrates bus drivers who deliver outstanding customer service and those that go out of their way to do whatever’s necessary to help passengers have the very best journey." (Quoted exactly from their website)
Top Bus Garage of the Year - "Finally, Alperton Bus Garage has been shortlisted for the Top London Bus Garage award. The award celebrates bus depots that are truly committed to their customers and employees, and to delivering outstanding performance and customer service." (Quoted exactly from their website)
Unsung Heroes Award - "Talented young Metroline engineer Mitesh Patel has been shortlisted for the Unsung Hero award. The award recognises employees who are committed, devoted to duty, and truly go above and beyond making sure customers get where they need to be and have the very best journey." (Quoted exactly from their website)
Environment - "Metroline’s Holloway Bus Garage has been recognised for its environmental initiatives and operation of electric buses, as one of the finalist in the Environment category. The award not only recognises the efforts made to improve the green credentials of bus services, but also improvements made to the overall environment in the communities where they operate." (Quoted exactly from their website)
Overall well done to them and other London bus companies that were finalists this year in the UK Bus Awards.

I could be wrong but these seem to be the first VWs that PB have? If they wanted to cover VWHs whilst they were gone I think sending TEs would’ve been a better option.

With the 266 leaving Metroline from 7 December and the TAs now withdrawn. The 266 frees up 29 buses. I should imagine:
TE905 - TE907 will be withdrawn. (58-reg) TEH915 - TEH919 will be withdrawn. (08/58-reg)
TE1074 - TE1094 & TE1432 will be kept for the 210, 632 & 643. (10/60/62-reg) TEH1449 - TEH1467 move to G for route 282s new contract. (13-reg) TEH1222 & TEH1228 move to Edgware. (61-reg)

(61-reg) The 282 will need all but 1 of the 13reg TEH batch, so I imagine one will stay at W for the 332's allocation. Unless Metroline give the 282 an extra spare, then keep the 61reg TEHs for the 332.
