In response to discussion of Metroline's VWH allocations, AC has 125 VWHs in total, including those on loan to HT/PA and the G2 examples.
6 - PVR 23 (26 VWHs) 52 - PVR 18 (20 VWHs) 98 - PVR 22 (24-25 VWHs) 260 - PVR 17 (19 VWHs) 302 - PVR 16 (18 VWHs) 460 - PVR 8 (9 VWHs)
So a total of about 117 VWHs are needed at AC, releasing up to 8-9 vehicles spare.
If the 7's VWH batch is available in time to form most of the 139's new allocation, this would be 5 vehicles short of the 139's TVR. The excess AC VWHs as mentioned could be used for this, there are also about 3 VWHs from the 140 & 295 cuts.

Today amrks the final (N)266 as tomorrow the (N)266 or renumbered N266 will be run under RATP. The final 5 buses to do the night service under Metroline are: TE1075, TE1092, TEH1452, TEH1458 & TEH1460 Usually they tend to use all TEHs on the (N)266 however tonight there is use of TEs.

I believe the DNHs are going back to the leaser but otherwise think they would have been great to use for a retain bid by TT. If this is the case, I imagine another London operator would then purchase the DNHs I'm not saying this is true - but Metroline could possibly purchase some for the 139 + some from Stagecoach.

Imagine if Metroline also took the 328 and operated it from W or EW. Probably would be W, don't think Metroline would bid for the 328 from EW. Only other possible garage would be WJ (the 328 previously ran from nearby AS). If Metroline did win the 328 then it would make West Hampstead a W monopoly

Will also bring Metroline into Wandsworth for the first time (One of the predecessors Armchair had the 485 from AH, but that was a while before Metroline bought them). Armchair were still running the 485 when they were bought out by Metroline in Nov 2004. By the time the route was lost in June 2006, Armchair existed in name only, even if their bus operations were only formally absorbed into Metroline in Jan 2007.
That said, I don't know if any Metroline-liveried vehicles ever appeared on the 485. The first repaints of ex-Armchair vehicles started in late 2006 with the 117 Darts. Not sure if any of the DLDs that were drafted in for the 493 made it onto the 485 first.

I remember Metroline having the route for a bit, that summer was boiling hot and some drivers left the front door open for a bit when driving off from the stop.

I think when people were referring to Wandsworth that it was the place rather than the borough as your right that it enters the borough of Wandsworth just after Priests Bridge near Barnes Common.

So a TfL FOI request in October said that all the Metroline electric double deckers will be in service by the end of this year.
Judging by no new OMEs have entered service in ages now with 15 still to go, and two BDEs as well (I’m surprised they still haven’t entered service yet), I’m assuming this deadline will now be missed.
(How many OMEs did TT borrow from Metroline for evaluation? Four haven’t been seen since 23rd Nov, one of those includes OME2664 which I know definitely has done)

I think the 28 going to Metroline is a good idea and I think it sort of fits in well with the fact that the 31 is there already The 7s VWHs I was presuming would go to the 139 with vehicles from the 140 & 295 cuts. I think it seems rather normal particularly as it has a part allocation of 65 reg frogfaces in London United I'm still not convinced those VWHs will go to the 139. There will also only be a single VWH made free at HD from the cut, which only releases 2 vehicles (VP614 will likely be withdrawn). The VWHs from the 7 will also probably not be available in time for the 139 contract change. With the 28, it could slot in perfectly. The max AC has ever held is 120, currently it is at 112, and with the -7 cut from the 52, it will be down to 105, meaning a gap of 15 will be available. The 28 has a TVR of 20, with the N28 having a PVR of 5, meaning that it can slot perfectly in, with the 7s VWHs being a perfect amount of vehicles for the route - also fitting in with ACs current allocation of VWHs. Will also bring Metroline into Wandsworth for the first time (One of the predecessors Armchair had the 485 from AH, but that was a while before Metroline bought them). It'll also give them a venture into Kensington, whilst also fitting in well with Metroline territory at Kensal Rise, imo it is a nice little fit if they were to win it. You have forgotten the 295 and N31. Should Metroline be successful with a bid for the 28 it would mean the vast majority of buses crossing Wandsworth Bridge would be Metroline . That in itself would be quite an achievement considering that’s in the no mans land of Go Ahead / Abellio terrain.

No I was thinking that they could operate the 328 from EW and have driver change over via tube. Don't see this happening when W is much closer to the route, and is also likely to have more space available than EW. However, X will have a good chance of retaining the route (with garage on line of route and existing allocation compliant for a new contract), and otherwise will be a very comptetitive tender with QB and S/RP also likely to bid, potentially even Go Ahead too. We could even see the 328 becoming an electric route - I could see both S and X being examples of 'pilot'garages for electrics as with NP.
