The early LK61's at EW really struggle up the hills on the 240 and 107, let's hope that TEH's are not the permanent allocation for the 240 and that it gets its VWs instead! The 11 reg VWs aren't much better tbh. They have not done well on the 292 on the motorway and Metroline tend to use whatever else on 292 when they can with VW1204/1205 having left already. Its a shame those 10 VMHs didn't come for the 240. I don't think anything can beat those beastly TEs on the 240 - got on TE845 on the 240 from Golders Green to Mill Hill Broadway the other day and it was flying over those hills with ease - will be a sad day when they leave. I do notice that a few TEs (TE844/879) have been reblinded (so now include the 292), so perhaps the TEs are here to stay for now, so perhaps have a plan in the future. Yes some of the TEs are in great shape, though others not so much. I do wish the VMHs would come for the 240 but alas, we can only hope for something (possibly in the form of newer TEs) that can cope with the hills...

Tbh I wouldn't mind them grouping up the 12 reg 13xx TEs for the 240 (Perfect amount for route) - From what I've experience from the 4 at ON for the 204, they aren't bad buses and were recently refurbished too.

Surprised to hear the 11 reg aren’t great with hills as similar & older aged examples with Go-Ahead London go up hills like they’re straight roads such as the 432 which has the steep Central & Anerley Hills to negotiate.

On the Londoner group, a farewell tour of the VP's has been announced for tomorrow which will be their last day in service - two will run at AC with one on the 302 & one on the 460. Subject to availability, VP614 may also run on the 140.

Could catch all 3 in close proximity to each other in the Willesden and Neasden area

Its only the 11 reg I've had issues with (I believe they may be restricted), the 10*/12/62/13 regs I went on are all fine, the 11 reg I'm not too fond of though. I've never experienced the 11 reg on hills though, I'm talking more from journey's down the motorway on the 292 which proved slow and underpowered compared to the amazing TEs, and I have a feeling with the kind of hills the 240 has those 11 reg will struggle. * - Ex First 10 regs

Hopefully I can try and get on the VP on the 302 as a final send off - never really did get one as they all disappeared really quickly in February 2018, with my last ride being on the now withdrawn VP536 back in February 2018, following 8-9 years of using them on the 302 (2010-2018). Would be nice if VP549 does the 302 and I can get on it on its last day - though I will be busy tomorrow, but hopefully I can fit it in during my trip to Kingsbury at some point in the day.
