We have a long term planned diversion on the 286, and the diversion is programmed into ibus, but when we take the diversion the MDT still tells us we are off line of route, is this normal or is it a fault, because when we are off line of route the ibus screen displays a star. So nobody can see the diversion bus stops on the screen anyway

I never knew the Sidcup diversion was programmed in to the iBus...are the diversion bus stops named anyway? I just play this bus is on diversion message when I arrive at the Sidcup Police Station stop and then when I'm turning right at the end of the diversion I push the Hurst Road Lamorbay Baths announcement (for the 286 I think the first stop at the end of the diversion is Old Farm or something like that)

The diversion route is programmed into ibus on all routes affected and two additional stops on the diversion are named Hatherley Road, Kingdon Hall and Hatherley Road, Alma Road which should announce then the 286 is back on line of route with Old Farm Avenue. If this is not working best keep us informed and we will investigate further. If I feel in the mood might even have a look tonight.

Well I can tell you 100% it's not working on the 229 and N21 (well at least it wasn't up to 02:30ish this morning)

Although I have just remembered the iBus network was down last night (although I never noticed a difference apart from the radio being in fallback mode and getting route calls for the 29 ;D)

Maybe that is the reason for the problem. Although I have just remembered the iBus network was down last night (although I never noticed a difference apart from the radio being in fallback mode and getting route calls for the 29 ;D)

Well after spending many a happy hour in Sidcup tonight he is my latest Beaver report.
Travelled on three buses 51, 229 and 269. None have any audios working.
51 displays all the correct diversion stop names but strangely unless I missed it did not announce Old Farm Avenue.
229 - just * displayed on diversion.
269 - first stop on diversion displayed and then went on diversion.
Also seems funny that the new stop put in Station Road served by the 233 and 269 is not served by the 160 and 492 - causing what I think was quite a gap between stops. Unless it was deemed not to overload the stop. I will follow this up - The Arriva controller I chatted to agreed this has caused a few complaints. Funny that his 160 stopped at the closed stop in Faraday (not helped by the plastic police who also hadn't realised despite the bloody big notice on the shelter - one of them was then directing a woman to a 486 for Greenwich!!!!!!
All in all very interesting thanks to Joe286 and LC1 for flagging this issue up.

Thanks for following it up. As for the 160's apparently they have been standing on the closed stop in Faraday I suppose the plastic police also hadn't noticed the fact the flags on ALL the closed stops have been taken away ;D I think they have put that stop in for the 269 and 233 as they have no other stop for Sidcup Station , however the 492 and 160 both have the stop outside the station.

Indeed and the 233 towards Swanley is not serving the station so this is now a useful stop. I will see what the view is on the 160/492 serving this stop as the Arriva bloke thought it was also useful (and it got my name) only joking I know his. Clearly they shouldn't be standing in Faraday (no reason to). Thanks for following it up. Just an update on this. The 229 now has the stops listed, however there is no audio, also the bus displays the diversion symbol the whole way through the diversion. Also I've noticed they have changed the Hurst Road stop to Sidcup Leisure Centre, however still announced as Hurst Road etc.... I thought it was not supposed to announce if the stop has been changed, or have they changed that No real surprise to me that the diversion doesn't work as it has never worked on the Friday/Saturday night diversion on the 229

Yeh I mentioned the Sidcup Leisure Centre stop. The situation is the stop will only announce if the audio has been re-done. Clearly the stop has been changed as requested. As you know I have followed this up. How come the BX diversion doesn't work or is this another can of worms? Having said that it doesn't help when London Central submit a schedule that says the 401 picks up towards Thamesmead after 2200 at the 96 stop betwwen the closed RSVP and Furze Wren. I am trying my best with all this. Just an update on this. The 229 now has the stops listed, however there is no audio, also the bus displays the diversion symbol the whole way through the diversion. Oooops scrub that I get what you mean about BX now. It's only the 229 it doesn't work on and even better it tells the N89 to stay out ALL night on a Friday and Saturday (including the 04:25 from Erith) which is what our new duty cards say as well so of course I stay out, well I can't take myself off line of route can I ;D

I believe that the 401 was added to that stop for daytime use when buses return to BX so buses do not add to the congestion on the nearside stop and prevent buses turning to serve the Clock Tower. As for the stop well I think generally we don't like a wrong stop annouced so it is switched off. Although I would have thought we could get an audio for this one. As for the BX diversion we will investigate. Yeh I mentioned the Sidcup Leisure Centre stop. The situation is the stop will only announce if the audio has been re-done.
