Today on the 227 towards Crystal Palace, I saw a 227 going the opposite direction curtailed to Shortlands Station? Since when was that place a curtailment point because it was never under Stagecoach. GAL must have been agreed this with TFL or something but in my opinion it is quite pointless. The bus has the option of running light to Bromley or Beckenham, both which a 5 mins away. It’s for the 358

Ive never seen that before and I can't think where a bus could be turned round at Shortlands. Unless it was going to run empty to Bromley North turning left into London Road and right into Tweedy Road? It would only save a few minutes at the most though.

There is (now) a Shortlands turn on the 227. Last stop is Ashmere Avenue and the bus turns via Bromley Road, Scotts Lane, Beckenham Grove and Shortlands Road to pick up at the Bromley Road/Shortlands station stop. I'm not sure how much passengers will like being dumped at Ashmere Avenue when most people will be headed for Bromley by that point, but it's an option nonetheless.

It’s for the 358 I believe it’s not an option for the 358 as it’s not on the blinds and never seen a 358 terminate there. This is a recent addition for the 227

Yes I did see the 227 turn via Bromley road via the 358 route but I did assume it would run light to Beckenham from there. This is interesting but as you said it is a very awkward place as two stops later it is the town centre

Uh so, what are the chances of the two 06 reg WVLs at RR and PO56JFF (Only used on schools) surviving until September?

Uh so, what are the chances of the two 06 reg WVLs at RR and PO56JFF (Only used on schools) surviving until September? PO56JFF should be just a spare, so could be withdrawn soon. The 06reg WVLs are still allocated to a school route, so would require 2 newer DDs to transfer and replace them. Not sure where any other existing diesels would come from though, with a number of non-standard Scanias still in service, and route 127 requiring some additional vehicles for its new contract (combination of PVR increase and replacing 06reg WVLs at C).
