A local blogger pointed out a couple of months ago that MG does not have planning consent as a bus garage. In any case the area of Morden Wharf is being developed for 8,500 homes over several years. This suggests MG does not have a long term future. Any evidence to this as I've heard so many rumors on this stating there is and isn't planning permission.

Murky Depths who investigated and is usually well informed and reliable.

Is there any sign of LDP206 finally pegging it yet? Surely it’s days must be very numbered now. It must be a record for London isn’t it, 18 years in service? (Obviously discount Routemasters from that lol)

According to a reliable source on Facebook, both LDP206 and LDP274 will be withdrawn at the end of the month and replaced by two of the ex 364 SE’s

According to a reliable source on Facebook, both LDP196 and LDP274 will be withdrawn at the end of the month and replaced by two of the ex 364 SE’s That suggests the 364s MMCs are due to enter service soon. Sad to see the LDPs go but they do look a bit worn now and LDP196 is lucky really to have survived until now since all the other members of its generation in London have gone. As for the 364s current E200s, glad to see them go! Bring on the MMCs!
