They'll be sold probably. - bear in mind another 50ish buses will be displaced when the new buses for the 21/63 arrive. I understand some of the PVL's for the 213 are already under refurbishment but have no news of arrival dates to start (these are buses withdrawn at Q when the 35 & 40 were lost). In reality I imagine they will mix on the Sutton routes with a concentration in the 151 - the slight longer length and lower ride of the DOES makes the departure from Worcester Park a bit awkward. Not from what I saw when I was at Worcester Park about 2 weeks ago. If there were such present problems, Sutton would've 'concentrated' the EVLs on the 151. The fact that they haven't seems to suggest that the DOEs are ok.

I think technically your both right. I was told by a senior engineer at BX that all the buses are leased from a company which strangely is owned by Go-Ahead, nothing like keeping it in the family No wonder why some PDLs and EVLs were sold off via the leasing company. Is this the same deal with the Metrobus fleet? I know at least some of their Scanias are leased. Didn't know they had leased Scania's. May I ask, which of their Scania's are leased? Also aware that their V-reg Darts (322-334) from 1999 based at Beddington Croydon depot are all leased.

I'm not sure which ones but i was told some of their double deckers were leased, similar to the East Lancs Tridents they use to have.

The fact that they haven't seems to suggest that the DOEs are ok. The EVL's are allocated to route 151 more than any other (about 50% most days), and there had been some damage to DOE's departing Worcester Park - they are a bit longer than an EVL and ride slightly lower to the ground. Drivers have been made aware of the issue, which is position and height of the central reservation departing the station combined with a very tight left turn into Central Road, and accidents have reduced. Worcester Park forecourt will be re-constructed when route S3 is withdrawn and this central reservation will be shaved. Any information I post is always based on very solid information. I did post that WVL's would be going to Sutton for the 213 - this info was from the Chief Engineer. The plan changed but at the time posted the info was reliable. To show I am reliable, Wright/ Volvo B9TL's have been ordered for routes 21, 63 and TG1. Haven't noticed that mentioned elsewhere.

Do you know why the WVLs never made it for Sutton's refurbishments? Hope you're 100% right on the B9TLs. I can't say i'm suprised that they've reverted back to Volvo or that they've ordered B9TL Wright Gemini 2.

It was easier in the end to just put PVL's to Sutton. They should start to turn up soon. They'll be re-furbed to a similar standard as AF WVL's with power blinds etc. I am 100% certain about the B9TL's.

The TG1 has been the subject of SEVERAL threads over the last six months or so. Basically, it is Thames Gateway 1, the East London Transit. It is a replacement for, and an extension of, current route 369. ;D Look back on the appropriate thread for further details.

I spoke with a Go Ahead London driver and he said that they've not heard any news about any B9TL Gemini orders. He said it's likely to be more E400s (though that could still be on the B9TL). Guess we'll have to play the waiting game and see what's announced.

TBH I would be inclined to believe sw11simon on this, us driver's are a LONG way down the food chain when it comes to things like this (for instance we STILL haven't been Officially told the N21 is diverting to Bexleyheath and the route it will take, still there's a fair amount of time for this to happen) and also it would make sense now the Volvo ban has been lifted for GAGL (Go-Ahead London) to go back to Volvo's as we have always been more of a "Volvo Company"

I noticed in Kingston yesterday there was a mix of DOE, EVL and E working the route. Can't beleive scheduling a mix of 3 types on a route is anything more than temporary. There are only 4 E's at Sutton, wouldn't they be better off with their fleetmates.
