E215 has now lost its U Switch Advert. Saw it in Croydon this morning, which explains why it took time off the X26 yesterday. I'm happy I got a photo of E215 on the X26 with the U Switch Ad on Saturday.

Congratulations to GAL for retaining the 88, 118, 170 and 355. I didnt think GAL would retain the 118, but well done for retaining it. I think C is a perfectly placed base for the 118 better than AL. Regarding the 355 I'm very surprised it was not double decked, the route is always crowded even during off peak times. But I am sad that the legendary Plaxton pointer darts are finally going to be put down, they have served the route since the late 90s. I remember when the 155 and 355 got LDPs 90-117. It's actually hard to imagine that 155 used to run from Wimbledon to Elephant Castle with a single deck PVR of 15. It would not be possible these days. It will be weird to see the 355 without my favourite single decker, Plaxton pointer dart. Although I usually prefer Go-Ahead to Arriva, I'd have liked route 118 to return to Arriva (BN). with all their other recent gains they may well not have had the space. I hope route 170 or 355 gains SEs as GAL still have so few E200-MMCs. I thought route 170 could gain electric buses as it serves Victoria. That's what I was fearing, but well done to GAL for retaining it. As for the 355 hope it gets e200s with MMC bodywork. It should because the original e200 and e400 bodywork is no longer available.

I hope route 170 or 355 gains SEs as GAL still have so few E200-MMCs. I thought route 170 could gain electric buses as it serves Victoria. Victoria isn't in ULEZ though as it's been said, so technically there was no obligation for such buses on the 170. 355 will get an allocation of all new buses anyway. Part for 170 - and existing E200 SEs. The P5 MMCs are coded SE just like regular E200s, haven't noticed any other op make the distinction between the 2 bodies coding-wise either. Don't forget GAL might order new StreetLites though lol, quite probable if you ask me (based on latest single-decker orders of theirs, and pricing - WSs seem to be the cheapest). TT ordered MVs because they were the cheapest new decker currently on the market, and more StreetLites despite drivers hating the ones they already have got.

Managed to get WVL338 (MBNEW071) on route 405 today, and I must say apart from a little wear and tear RR have kept the bus in a pretty good condition, the seats are an example. Most buses would have its seats worn down by the age of 7 but these ones funnily enough don't. I've heard though they'll be getting completely new seating at refurbishment, probably will be getting high back seats. If you loved the Citaros on the X26 and were sad to see them go, then fear not, the WVL's sound a lot like the Citaros. Can't wait to see these refurbished!
Also, on the previous journey for WVL338 when it arrived at West Croydon, one of the drivers I had met at Stockwell and took me round SW and drove me around Vauxhall on PVL386 on my last day was driving it! (with a mentor). She's gone on loan to C after the 19/249 loss and now drives the 455 but it seems she was doing route learning on route 405, as I was talking to her about at SW. For my journey though, the drivers changed over

Those seats are in dire need of replacing, but it's good to hear that they will indeed be replaced, I'm looking forward to seeing how the refurbished buses turn out, with a refurbishment the buses should be nice and fit for the X26.

Count yourself lucky that I'm in a good enough mood today or a ban may well have been issued for that cocky response. But take it as a warning if a admin says something please don't try to be funny back.

I don't think Go Ahead would get away with putting a diesel out on the 93 on the basis that it's better than no bus?

Does anyone know how long the ELT branded vehicles will be in use on the 101? Also, at the Wanstead end does the route share a bus stand? TIA
