So AL have similar issues to SW but SW gets its reputation unfairly trashed whilst people turn a blind eye to AL. SW gets all the criticism when it’s buses are mentioned but any other garage bar MG gets away with extremely little said. It makes me think that other people (not yourself) have hidden agendas towards certain operators and garages on here - you either lambast them all or you lambast none. SW has some issues with blinds - no one is denying that but it’s being sorted as most of the E’s now have new blinds and as usual, no one bothers mentioning the whole picture like the good things about SW such as it’s good service on its routes or its maintenance - no, that’s not important at all! Oh yeah I definitely don’t have hidden agendas, I don’t work for any London bus company so I’m not biased in any way on that front, I just form opinions from experiences I’ve had on individual routes and the way they operate them. I for one, along with Q, AF and AL, actually really like SW garage. I remember watching the documentary on it on the TV, it seems like the driver that work for that garage really enjoy and value their jobs there. I am also impressed with their punctuality, I think they run the 77 and 87 in particular very well, and I have to say I haven’t actually noticed any blind issues myself from that garage. As I mentioned, the second paragraph isn't aimed at yourself so don't worry

Since 6 or 7 of route 284's Enviro 200's are set to go to route 225 (unless plans have changed), if the remainder of surplus E200's aren't needed at MB and Go-Ahead want to completely eliminate a non-standard type, four of them could transfer to C to replace 713, 718, 721, 214 and 219 on route 359, and the rest of the spares could be used to get rid of the 4 MAN's left at MB. They would be ideal for route 359, as they can use these when the contract is renewed in 2020 for an existing buses bid, since 740-762 will still be 7 years old. Alternatively, they could be used on route 455, releasing SOE31-35 ( a rather non standard type at C) back to A, or even those could move to route 225, although they'll be a little too old. C don't allow anything longer than 10.2m to be used on route 455, having said that, the 433 buses which are the same length as 740-762 often saw use on route 455, so it can be done. 7 Enviro 200's would go to the 2225 for a PVR of 6+1 spare. That leaves 4 of it's original ones left plus SE151. That could then allow them to convert the 359 to Enviro 200's leaving SE151 free to go elsewhere. The alternative is that the 126 receives it's Enviro 200's back and the 246 takes the spare ones off the 284 replacing it's MAN's instead of the 359 I think the SOE's will stay on the 455 for the duration of it's contract primarily as they don't seem pretty keen on longer buses doing the route.

Clearly nobody has any hidden agenda we just comment on what we see. I've seen the documentary on SW and I'm sure there are plenty of good things to say about the garage but that doesn't mean their blind banditry should be swept under the carpet. If Go Ahead wanted to simplify the allocation, the SOEs could swap with additional 61-reg 10.2m SEs at AL.

Not that the old terminal working still exists, I'm guessing this is just for buses that need to return to MG or where a driver changeover is unavailable.

Saw this parked right at the back of Purley Station car park - blacked out windows and all sorts of extracts? Solution to the driver rest room issue? flic.kr/p/JUYHwg

Is it likely the new EHs for the 36 will enter service from start of contract or will some be broken in a bit earlier on in February?

Too many critics for what is a public service, not much they can do. People will be people.

Too many critics for what is a public service, not much they can do. People will be people. Their cleanliness standards in general are terrible. Get on a bus at 7am and it will still be dirty! Just look at all the footprints on the Streetlites! They really need to start cleaning their buses properly, both inside and out!

If so then these things are to be expected.
