Anyways, time for a rant! Got me second Public Complaint (realistically its me third, but i had one written off by the OM, hopefully this one will (if allocation havent written it off already)). Anyways I was at North Greenwich on the 422 on tuesday evening, about 18:30 ish, I pulled into stop B (the 422/108 stop) and opend the doors. As is usually the case at that time of day there were about 50 people waiting for my bus, plus the ones running form the tube station entrance. Anyway im loading up, and one of the last people to try and board was a woman with an unfolded buggy. I explained to her that "cant take the buggy in its present state". she replied "well what am i supposed to do?" i replied with "you'll, have to fold it, although the bus is very packed i suggest that you wait for the next one". Shew then went off in a strop. I carried on with my trip! So i sign on, on Thursday to be greeted with (in bold red letters) 'Speak PC'. My allocation supervisor then explained that theyd recieved a complaint titled "Unacceptable Behaviour by one of your drivers" He the proceeded to read out the statement the woman had written. In the Statement she said thet "The driver was Rude" >:(and that he said "I dont take buggies at this time of day" . Basically she's trying to get me in trouble for 'doing my job'. Indeed if i'd let her on it would have posted a safety risk, especially with an Unfolded Buggy in the Gangway, Even if she did fold it she would have been standing up holding an 11 month old on a packed bus. Not good aye! The safety pf my passengers is paramount, indeed TfL do say that Buggies may need to be folded at busy times and it is at the Drivers Discretion as to whether unfolded buggies are carried (especailly at busy times). And to top it all off, she was only going to the next stop (i'll let her off with that as the next stop is quite far)

If she had folded it, she could have got on - so it was her fault. How do you know she only wanted to go to the next stop? ;D Anyways, time for a rant! What the hell is wrong with the buses at Bexleyheath? It's not unusual to see buses broken down but I am seeing more and more, and I dont travel far to work. Last night a saw a broken down Volvo on the 229. This morning a dart broken down yards from the garage. I seem to see at the very least two broken down vehicles EVERY day. Seems maintainance should order more stickybacked plastic and elastic bands.

How do you know she only wanted to go to the next stop? ;D She said she was only going to the next stop, but in all honesty, 9 times out of 10 they just say that, hoping that you'll let them on. On the subject of breakdowns, i have to agree there have been a lot of breakdows at BX recently, there are a number of factors why though, which i wont go into!!!!

Spot on, likewise can't really go into the reasons why we are getting lots of breakdowns on a public forum. And before anyone asks no I won't go into them via private messages either Time for a rant from me. Why, oh why, oh why do people walk behind a bus reversing and no I'm not talking about members of the public, but other drivers and even a ETB inspector at Lewisham felt like just gunning it and flattening the stupid
