Let drivers disable bells job done lol. The Euro II DLA's up to W reg had a ring once only system where the bell only sounded once no matter how many times it was pressed until the doors opening reset it. I believe the early PVL's as well had the same system.

I was on a 126 MCV evolution once and it was full of school kids. It was out of order on the drivers side, but quite funny to watch. The kids were holding down the bell (the ear pearcing siren one) and the driver asked them to stop at the next stop. They carried on, and started to swing on the bars. The driver slammed on the brakes and told them to stop at once. Again, they continued to ring the bell and the driver asked passengers to tell him when they want to get off. The school kids wanted to get off, and we casually sped past about 4 stops at speed. Served them right IMO. Perhaps not the slamming on the brakes part

School Childrens behaviour is atrocious. Then people have the cheek to say there only School Children. Even the Police are scared to go to the Bus Stop at Bexleyheath Clock Tower to assist boarding on the 401s.

Perhaps not the slamming on the brakes part Hopefully CCTV footage will be sent to their school to identify the culprits and they'll have their free travel entitlement removed? How is the poor driver supposed to concentrate on driving in that environment?

I agree with your comments. Changing subject, with Arriva planning to be sold, what is going to happen with their routes and buses? Will they be kept until the end of the contracts?

With the Dennis Darts i used to open the compartment where the belt was and stick paper in it so that it's a lot quieter.

Was going to put this in iBus but no threads seem to match When the driver used the PA system on the LT 3 I was on,the iBus changed to "Announcement In Progress". Saw the display light up this morning on the 152, preceeded by a gong/chime noise to help alert punters.

Greetings all from Beijing I would like to share some of the buses which are available on the market: www.chinabuses.org/product/buses/Some are beautiful and some are dam ugly! When I get my VPN running I will upload pictures in the very near future. I must say the buses even a year old looks battered why is the quality of the buses and the road conditions?

We had a W Reg TNL - 32928 (W928 VLN) - in the fleet at Dagenham when I was responsible for the afternoon run out there which every one of the school drivers didn't want. I had a regular school run on the 656 every Friday which I purposely saved this bus for every week - bells only rang once and it the best heater by a country mile. Not much fun when it rained though - cab got a tad on the wet side! I'll try and find my picture of it

Ring once bells should be on all buses. I agree, however on the odd occurrence, and a driver forgets to stop, if you give a couple of dings they do😂 not that it’s often but just saying
