CT Plus garage in Crooked Billet: It has now been approved that they can take on double deckers.

I rode classic E200 on route W19 and MMCs on routes W13 & W16. I didn't realise this before, but even the classic ones have gold grabrails and LT-style moquette too.

Spotted a blind change on a E400 on route 388 today and noticed Elephant & Castle is at the end of the blinds and looks like a insert. Was the extension decided after buses / blinds were ordered?

They can probably pull it off the blind set soon with the 388s cut back.

The current Stagecoach WH blinds for example (Tridents / Dayglo E400) show just how unfortunate they have been. Current blinds have routes lost over 5 years ago.

Day-glo blinds : 5, N15, 15, 69, 86, N86, 97, 104, 106, 115, 147, 158, 238, 241, 257, 262, 473, N550, 277, 330 then school routes. Ouch. I’m sure I don’t need to say what these colours mean except the 257 which his been lost and then won back again! That’s how old they are lol. Plus you’ve got the 86, N86 and 277 which aren’t even mainly based at that garage, probably just their for the sake of easy transfers and you’re left with just 4 routes, well 5 as the 474 isn’t on there. It’s actually almost sad to see as WH are such a good garage. EDIT: why 330 comes at the end of that I don’t know lol 2nd EDIT: updated with the 158’s changes

Some garages used the same sets of blinds. Certainly Plumstead and Catford single deck blinds were identical.

When you say ‘crosslinked’ does that mean two routes worked into one schedule? Like how a 418 goes from Kingston to Epsom and comes back from Epsom as a 406?

Like how the 5 turns into an N15.

Well done to CT Plus winning the 20, quite an unexpected left field win for them. Interesting to see that the route is going hybrid, I expect more E40H Cities to be ordered as they seem to be their double deck staple at the moment.
Also begs the question where will the 20 operate from? AW or HK?

I reckon they’ll probably operate it from AW due to how close the garage is to its Walthamstow area, as well as the 397 operating around Debden as well. I get why your saying HK though.

If the Central London proposals go ahead, a number of E40Hs will be released from the 388's cutback to Liverpool Street. Some will likely be used to enhance the 26 (due to 48 withdrawal), but probably not all - so CT Plus likely won't need to order a full allocation for the 20. CT Plus may operate the 20 from AW due to distance, but I could see it being run from HK to keep all DDs there. If there is not enough space available, the W13 could move to AW (with DD journeys remaining at HK). HK is not too far from the 20's route, and the Overground can be used for changeovers to/from Cambridge Heath.

Also the train to Walthamstow does not serve Cambridge Heath, it just goes past it but does not stop there.
