I wonder if the 2 E400s from Stagecoach London will stay for medium term as the 388's frequency cut seems to have been cancelled(?) until that route gets a curtailment from the pending Central London cuts.

CT Plus E400 City blinded for 20 Walthamstow Central Nice to know that at least 1 of the new buses for the 20 exists. We're only 4 days away from the start of service and I'm not aware any have been delivered yet. That's not leaving much time for ETMs etc to be fitted and for any new drivers to be familiarised with them. Obviously some of the existing buses can be used for route learning etc. The drivers would have been type trained on existing E400City from [HK]. I think ibus equipment may be fitted prior to delivery, the ETM should be wired up fairly quickly.

Certainly makes what was a not particularly interesting changeover quite interesting now - I had no plans to go and ride it having rode it twice in both directions already this month already but I will now - hopefully, the route just runs as best to schedule as possible.

It's been reported (on a Facebook group) that Stagecoach's 10113/4 + some GAL buses are being hired, for Route 20's takeover. 10113/4 are already carrying CT Plus blinds.

Yes, I'm guessing the Go-Ahead vehicles will be on short-term loan until the ADL Enviro400H Citys are ready for service. Possibly ADL are picking up the cost of this because of late delivery.
I am also guessing that the 2 Stagecoach E400 MMCs are a separate, longer-term loan, as a planned reduction of frequency for the 388 (which would have freed up 2 E400 Citys for the 20) appears not to be taking place.

ADL would not be picking up the cost unless the buses were delivered beyond a contractual delivery date The tender award came out 21st August 2018 which gave 7 months, and had no notes about buses transferring from other routes The award was for a PVR of 10 (down from 11 due to withdrawal of school journey), so would have needed 11 buses At some stage the order appears to have been reduced which might have resulted in delays placing the order, but we do not know date when an order was confirmed with the factory. tangytango.proboards.com/thread/10688/notification-tender-results-21st-august

3 ADL E40D MMCs in at Walthamstow Garage this afternoon. The only one I could ID from the road was 2541 as that was outside one of the maintenance bays. The other two were tucked away at the back of the parking area with minibuses in front of them. It might be possible to ID from the bridge that crosses the North Circ but I wasn't going to schlep round there with my groceries.

If Go Ahead are providing E400s from BX, it wouldn't make sense for CT+ to loan the LX56 examples for a longer period of time as they aren't planned to go on any other route and I should imagine most of them err planned to be withdrawn with the loss of the 20 anyways, whereas Stagecoach should want their E400s back sooner due to them just starting a contract on the 275, it's been said that Stagecoach loan is only short term.

If Go-Ahead do provide any E's, it won't be from BX but most likely the ex BX ones now at NP. I expect a couple of them to be retained at NP to cover the 2-3 WVN's expected to transfer to BX & the one already there as well as some to replace the B7TL WVL's which are expected to leave.

Yeah I meant Ex-BX ones. There should be enough to do the 20 and cover the Lx05 reg and WVN that moved.

How many buses will CT Plus be hiring exactly for the route 20? 2x Stagecoach E400s by the sounds of it. The 2 that aren't coming from the 388s frequency reduction. There are 9x new vehicles ready and waiting to go.
