How many buses will CT Plus be hiring exactly for the route 20? 2x Stagecoach E400s by the sounds of it. The 2 that aren't coming from the 388s frequency reduction. There are 9x new vehicles ready and waiting to go. So all 9 are now delivered? As snoggle mentioned just 3 was at AW from what he could see. There also seems to be suggestion elsewhere that some E's will still be sent to CT Plus to start their reign of the 20?

Everything i have read so far is that some vehicles will be borrowed from Go-Ahead in the very short term until the new E400 Citys are ready for service. The interim loan from Stagecoach I understand as two E400 Citys were supposed to be released from a frequency reduction and route shortening* that hasn't (yet) happened. The vehicles on loan will be 10113/10114. * cutback from Elephant & Castle to Liverpool Street and reduced to every 12 minutes daytimes, to occur in conjunction with a frequency increase on route 26 and withdrawal of route 48. At least that was the proposal!

9 was the number given by CT Plus' Operations Director in a Facebook posting, in which he also confirmed the loaning of two Stagecoach vehicles. I'm pretty sure he knows what is going on ...

Just a small word of advice if anyone intends going up to Walthamstow Central to try to take photos of the 20. In short - don't bother! There are extensive roadworks on Selborne Rd right outside the bus station. There are barriers and restricted walkways and you will struggle to get anything remotely like a decent photo. There is so little pedestrian space that standing opposite the exit on what pavement is left will probably cause a blockage meaning you'll possibly get pushed and shoved. I went past today on a bus - it was a complete mess. Go somewhere else to take your photos folks.

My advice for anyone who wants to take pictures of CT Plus running the 20 tomorrow is to do at Loughton Station instead as that is a nice big central reservation opposite the bus stops over there and also buses in both directions serve Loughton Station while doing a double run, meaning that you could take more photos of the 20 in a shorter space of time .
By the way all of my photos of GAL buses on the 20 have been at Loughton Station with WVL205, WVL448 and WVN53 were all over there

The first stop for the 20 can be a relatively easy place to take a picture of one from the other side of the crossing, and of course the stand if you have a good enough zoom.

If that is the case they will need identifying in service tomorrow and posting to the FB Group for another admin to update as I'll be out and about

Just realised that snoggle was talking about the exit where the buses comes out of the Bus Station and that I can see where snapping buses be problematic at that particular spot, though snapping inside the Bus Station like the first stop of the 20 as you mentioned shouldn't be too difficult at all.

I hate trying to take photos in the bus stn itself, even at the crossing. Too many "wombles" wandering around and it's just an excuse for some jobsworth to come and tell you "you can't take photos blah blah blah". The normal advantage with the station exit position is that it is south facing and you can usually scrape a decent shot morning or afternoon as the light is usually favourable for one side of the bus or the other. Not many locations in London like that.

Went on the 20 for the first time today. What a great route has everything from going down local residential streets but also picks up some speed near whipps cross. The enviro 400 city's are good to.
