What a great day to travel! ;D 4th strike in nearly 3 months, cant the LU ever sort themselves out over the cuts How was everyone's day? Dreadful... Took me nearly 3/4 hour to get to Bank this morning, as i had to let the first 8 go as it was full up to the rim. Second number 8 came which was 18234 the driver had a bit of an issue when passengers where coming in from the rear doors while people where squashed at the front like sardines (aka me.. ;D) Got to Euston Station at 10am was an hour late so I thought no point going into college so I done a few iBuses for the day... ;D The good thing is least the heating was on the buses today at full blast... well, its god to see that my taxes are being well ...wasted. The sooner they start charging students, the better!

Blame the TSSA and (of course) the RMT for this. Good one Crow! Bet HE didn't lose a penny of his over-inflated salary!

Pretty much OK as I took the Overground to Barking and District line to East Ham while making my way to UEL. The latter was only suspended between Edgware Road and Earl's Court/Olympia so it's pretty straight-forward, that's my alternative route if the Piccadilly, Victoria or Jubilee lines fail me!

Fingers crossed the unions stop all this stupidity and get back to reality, I have yet to hear their reply to my email to them regarding this fiasco and my wish to arrange a meeting with mr crow to discuss when he is going to act like a real human being in the modern world

I left oxford circus around 1745 and had so many passengers that I did an express service from trafalgar square in whtehall to lambeth palace ;D Probably didn't help that my leader was behind me
There was another bus behind which started at trafalgar sq so they possibly got on that one.
Also had one bizzare journey when I started at crystal palace around 1900hrs but didn't pick anyone up until I got to brixton. By the time I got to oval, I dropped them all off and had no passengers all the way to ox circus ;D
I did notice that some buses were in front of me but I could not catch them due to the traffic

It was nice too see extras running on the route 66, although on this strike day the central line was partially running on the hainault branch although Wanstead was closed for a short while until it opened which meant the 308's leaving wanstead towards Stratford weren't as packed as they usually suffer immensely when the central line packs up, the nice usual gaps in the service didn't help, can't blame first if their is extra patronage and roadworks in the Lea interchange area.
The 25 Ciatros lived upto the name of Cattle trucks, they were extremely rammed - more then usual if only if the RPI Were on some the buses they would fined a whole load people and made up some revenue, I dread to think when convential deckers come back how packed or empty the buses will be.
Overall yes I know that we're in a state or coming out of recession but I agree these striking LU workers should retain their jobs as say for example we have a major emergency down there, god forbid. We saw the flaws and difficulties with aid trying to reach those affected with 7/7, it's apparent that the workers could have saved more lifes, next time god forbid their is a next time with the propsed cuts could their be more fatalities as their is noone to support victims, I strongly disagree with cuts in society.

So would you solution be to tax more then? If not would be your solution to the current overpsend? It is so easy to say cuts are bad.

So what is your solution then to the current overspend? Raise taxes? Do nothing and end up like Ireland? Completely close 1 line to save money? Is is easy to say you do not like cuts ... not one likes them ... but something has to be done

I think Hell will freeze over before you get a sane response from him!

True true Bighat if everybody was on his (crows) vastly inflated salary we would be in a worse situation then we are now. Those types of unions wont see common sense and that is that with the future comes reorganisation of jobs etc.

Well, as a student, you will be on one of your many holidays no doubt, so it should not affect you! As a student it will, as I'm a frequent user of the LU. By bus getting to Holloway from Bethnal Green is a mission in rush hour. Well come to think of it, getting to A to B by bus is a mission during rush hour.
