There were some problems on the Central Line yesterday. But this is happening everyday even when there are no problems on the central line. Equally I've seen quite a few lightly loaded buses on both the 94 and 148 along Bayswater Road and there will inevitably be a further drop when Crossrail opens. Anyway I think any further discussion should be in this section tangytango.proboards.com/board/28/london-bus-routes to avoid the same thing being discussed in different threads.

That is interesting as I use the 94 just about every week and it is always busy, the only times is not busy is when there is route bunching which rif153 mentioned. I don't use the 148 often but when I have used it sometimes the route can be packed and other times like yesterday it was just me and a few other people on board.

What leads you to think there will be a drop in demand on Bayswater Road when Crossrail opens? The only overlap between the 94 and Crossrail is Bond Street. Its not as if 94 passengers who use the route to reach Oxford Street have a nearby Crossrail station to get on at and use to reach Central London. The most popular point on the 94 is Shepherd's Bush with many getting on and continuing to Oxford Street, Crossrail will not reach these people.

Every 148 I see leaving Shepherd's Bush is well loaded. I was getting on the 94 at Shepherd's Bush last week and there was a 148 picking up at the same time, I counted 40 people getting on the 148 with 32 getting on the 94. I know some think that once the 94 is cut to Marble Arch the route will be killed off but I hope this does not happen because then there'll be a huge strain on the 148 providing that popular Shepherd's Bush-Marble Arch link

More spare capacity on the Central Line and Oxford Circus is unlikely to be closed at busy times because of overcrowding.

I’m confused, there is YX19OMU on the 440/283, has it been incorrectly logged?

SDE20223 Driver Training on the K5 I can’t find it on LVF, what’s its registration. Must have needed a short bus, the K5 has lot of turns to learn (and parts are different in reverse direction), but why this appeared instead of spare service bus is hard to understand. Perhaps thought a person unfamiliar with route might prang the kerb so used oldest they could find.

Perhaps thought a person unfamiliar with route might prang the kerb so used oldest they could find. I’ve done the whole route at least 60 times. If I had the licence to do so, I could probably drive it to Raynes Park from Ham, anything beyond there is chaos to learn. One driver parked in the 293 stands for a year after he joined and only got corrected when a driver pointed out the error...

I’m confused, there is YX19OMU on the 440/283, has it been incorrectly logged? YX19OMU (DME30370) is on the 283 which is based at RP along with the 440 - what's the confusion? YX19OMR-S (DME30367-8) have also joined it out about leaving 5 left to enter service.
