Any idea on what the 640 will use for its new contract, it should have been released what has been said? I think it is E54 LK56FHM (ex ml TE717) and E54 LK56FHN (ex ml TE718)

I think it is E54 LK56FHM (ex ml TE717) and E54 LK56FHN (ex ml TE718) As has already been said it is not... These are far too old for 1, and were acquired before Sullivans even knew they were getting the 640 for 2, and for 3 the tender said it'll be getting "2011 diesel double deck." So for the last time they are not for the 640 and are for Sullivans commercial work NOT the 640 and are far too old now to begin another TfL contract.

Sullivan Buses website states they are to run 2 new commercial routes around Hatfield/Borehamwood. The first one is a public service to be numbered the 330: Hatfield Station, Birchwood, Hatfield Town Centre, Hatfield Business Park, Ellenbrook, Nicholas Breakspear School. The second is a school route to be numbered the DY2: Battlers Green, Radlett, Shenley, Borehamwood, Dame Alice Owen’s School. (This will be for school children only). There is also some timetable or route changes on the following routes: 306, 331, 358, 398, 823, 833 Source - www.sullivanbuses.uk/html/sb8latest.html

There aren't really many buses available that are no less than 9 years old for the 640's contract. The only vehicles from Ensign available are 2009/10 ex-Go Ahead Scania Omnicitys. But to be honest I don't think they will be purchased. Tower Transit sent 4 B9TLs back to the leasing company but they aren't really Sullivan type of bus. Aslo they have just gained a couple of Hertfordshire routes so I guess more single deckers will be needed. Again Tower Transit have 2 Streetlites for sale but I guess we will see what happens....

Intrigued as to why a B9TL is not a Sullivan type of bus seeing as they have 3 already?

According to a post on a Facebook group I'm part of, Sullivans have apparently purchased former Metrobus OmniCity 964 (YT59DYH)

I suppose could these replace older EVLs or TPLs in longer term
