Would they? Apparently Stagecoach went for whoever offered the cheapest deal, be it Optare, Mercedes, etc. Nothing to suggest that if they were available in dual-door Stagecoach wouldn't have gone through that process anyway.

They are available in Dual door but they would not have made it in time for the 227 Also they may be available dual-door but not necessarily on the TFL approved list... The overall capacity is poor, that mainly the reason, they only seat 40 and that is with tip up seats, so imagine that in Dual door, would be pointless

The ADL website states nothing about them being dual door, surely it would if it was available.

^^^ I presume everyone thought you were talking about the 7900Hs hence the confusion but either way your wrong again, as the ADL website states 1, 2, 3 door for left hand driver and 1 or 2 door for right hand drive

Also they may be available dual-door but not necessarily on the TFL approved list... The overall capacity is poor, that mainly the reason, they only seat 40 and that is with tip up seats, so imagine that in Dual door, would be pointless I had a look on the volvo website and had a look at the tri door example on the 7900h and the seating layout and I make it to TFL spec they would have 33 seats but also be capable of alot of standees, even if we take 50 standees (on paper) that makes a total of 83 passengers. I have also noticed that out of the 4 seats on both front wheelarches three of the seats are DB300 style i.e wider than just a single seat so say a parent a child both sat together on those seats you get 3 extra seats, so thats 36! ;D ;D. As for the E350H, I reckon that would have a capacity of about 35/6 to TFL spec. 12m single deckers to london spec do not exactly have the best seating capacity anyway, it is standing capacity where they stand out (no pun intented). The citaros on the 203 and 227 seat 35 and the Tempos for the H37 seat 34 so I dont see much of a problem in that respect.
