Thanks for posting
So London gets £5m (or about £71,430 per bus for 70 buses)
I guess it is possible this could be stretched across a higher number of buses, eg if an Operator was prepared to take a £50k per bus contribution, TfL could get 100 hybrids.
I'll take a punt and guess the recently awarded route 27 is going to be one of those getting new hybrids. I'm not prepared to guess any other routes though

First Essex buses??? wonder what route and what type It's likely to be the more important routes that will be chosen. For Arriva Kent & Sussex, I'm guessing that the Maidstone P&R will get the new buses as it's current buses date from 2004 (Wright Commanders are it's current vehicles and their was a B7RLE evaulated at Maidstone last year before Arriva The Shires got theirs) as there is usually a set period of when the vehicles have to be replaced on a route like that.

Ensign Bus are shown as having ordered 6 Volvo B5Ls / Wright bodywork which should be fun. Interestingly Lothian and First have ordered the 9700 hybrid single deckers for service! www.busandcoach.com/newspage.aspx?id=6639&categoryid=0The report (in Bus & Coach buyer) also mentions 19 are for what it describes as First's "Essex 100" operation Finally after a long time First Essex are getting good buses( Volvo 9700s) on a good route

The article mentions it's a hybrid single decker though you are right in that it is a coach. I think Heyfordian has the first coach one built for the UK for Eurolines work.
