Could you imagine doing this to any other minority group such as skin colour, religion or disability? Good to see Bojo making comment about this stupid scheme.

Yes it is - I most admit, its getting quite annoying its everywhere I look! lol I have no problem whatsoever with someone being gay, but in all honesty is a bus advert going to change anything....the answer is no and this is shown with the "fight-back" ad which had been created. Quite sad really.

Therefore I would suggest that is successful?

Therefore I would suggest that is successful? That's true, but I don't think those people who see being gay as wrong will change there opinion when this is seen. If someone is gay, how does it affect them? Its their decision/life so they should be able to get on as they wish - Unfortunately that's something that is not possible in this day and age regardless of wheater it is about someones sexuality or simply the clothes they are wearing! Someone is always there to judge that individual

Those adverts are deeply insulting to homosexual people. This country is fast sliding back into the past with stupid racial views resurfacing from their hiding places and homophobia which is wrong. I know people who are homosexuals - some are my friends and it's why I'm outraged even though I am heterosexual. I think Boris & TfL should be applauded for banning the adverts - its the right thing to do. Adverts like that is why countries like Uganda are so screwed up.

Someone is always there to judge that individual I think you're right that it's unlikely to change many people's opinions. However, in my opinion it's more about challenging attitudes and assumptions, and if it does make people think, then that can only be a good thing. If we don't, and hadn't challenged assumptions then we'd all still think the earth was flat, black people would still be in slavery and women not allowed to vote, all attitudes that are massively and rightly discredited these days. I do take issue with your statement that being gay is a decision people make. Would you say that heterosexuals make a decision/choice to be straight? Calling it a decision gives credance to the fundamentalists arguments that it can be cured. There are plenty of gay people out there who wouldn't choose to be gay given all the sh*t and prejudice around. You can however, choose to act (or not) upon your sexuality but would any straight people be criticised and attacked for doing so? People will always judge others, but if we can stop others judging us based upon things we can't help; gender, race, sexuality etc, that can only be a good thing, and maybe eventually will make us less judgemental as a whole.
