I'm not sure Mr Daniels has quite given you authority to do that. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Personally, I think the answer is to only allow buses in BUS lanes. The clue is in the title This would remove from bus lanes taxis, minicabs, motorcycles and, most of all, bloody cyclists!!!

Not that it really matters, but I see they haven't used a recent photo judged by the view of that PDL class Trident on the 77A.

^^ ;D ;D They're absolute tossers though. It's bad enough that black taxis seem to love pulling in front of buses then stopping abruptly without these people getting in on it as well. These minicabs really get on my nerves as their driving is awful. They need to learn some lane discipline for a start, by that I mean keeping within their lane instead of partially blocking the bus lane . They don't (or do probably) understand that a bus needs the full width of the bus lane whereas they can easily remain within the outside lane!

What makes me laugh is the way the chairman is trying to make out they are the same as a Taxi...No there not they are a mini cab, pure and simple. Taxi = Able to ply for hire Mini Cab = Pre booked To get round that he is now saying in modern society the way to hail a cab has progressed to telephone, internet and smart phone apps....hello that os called BOOKING not hailing...is it any wonder their drivers are so pee poor when they have a boss like that

When I was on the Lorry's with Ryman a few years ago, I lost count of the times we were cut up, pulled out on and forced to make emergency stops by these utter w**kers (there's no other words for them!) God knows how they think there crappy Ford Galaxy's were a match for our 18 ton DAF LF's. I've never seen such irresponsible, careless and reckless driving as I have from an Addison Lee vehicle! We got so cheesed off with one, one night we tailgated him, main beam blazing, horn blasting! all the way along Kensington High Street and Earls Court Road before he dived up some tight road we couldn't get the wagon up! ;D ;D

They're more or less motorized pedicabs, they seem to be just as dangerous. Just because their VW/Ford/Fiat (delete as applicable) is black, doesn't make the car an official London Taxi and give them the right to use a bus lane... It's the driving equivalent of a Primark sweatshop, 14-hour days (I've seen them sleeping in their cars in the small hours, near rail stations), low wages, high staff turnover, I did a 'Topography Test' (basic geography) test at Addison Lee, the knowledge of their drivers are appalling, if you can't distinguish on a map between Forest Gate and Forest Hill, you might as well stay at home ;D If every minicab uses the bus lane, it's just going to ruin everything. It's bad enough with roadworks and everything else, last thing you need is a lost cabbie crawling down the bus lane at 10 miles an hour looking for an address at the height of rush hour...

Maybe the Addison-Lee drivers just want to be like their MD (Red Focus);

The height of bad driving, seen a few buried in street furniture in the early hours before. ;D
As for bus lanes, taxis aren't too bad apart from the occasional stupid sudden stop, motorcyclists are no problems at all, just get rid of the f**king cyclists!

Dont tar us all with the same brush!
As a cyclist in the suburbs, I obey traffic lights, allow the bus to pull out if he is indicating rather than just go around and where safe to do so I will pull over to allow buses to pass me (although I usually catch them at their next stop and go around again!).
Whilst on a bus the other week during the morning rush at the Elephant some of the cyclists behaviour and road 'sense' was terrifiying!

Chris I have no problem with the majority of cyclists, it's the ones that have no road sense that I have problems with...I have had them literally stop in front of me or zig zag down the road....the other night I had one come from the inside lane at London Road right across the front of me at the Elephant an castle roundabout, as I was already in the outside lane I wash;t able to go round him so I moved to the inside (as it was almost hugging the outside curb) then as I we went to turn down Newington Butts he cut back across the front of me again!!!! He then had the cheek to have a go at me!!!!

I did use a generalisation, but in reality its the lycra clad pretentious "my poo don't stink" chelsea boy type cyclist I have a problem with. ;D

I was listening to LBC overnight as they had a long hard discussion involving Addison Lee. Can't remember whether if it was presenter Christo or a caller who sarcastically said that if Addison Lee use the bus lane cause they are carrying passengers then that same logic should apply with a parent who's carrying their children to/from school or a man/woman who's giving a colleague a ride to/from work, all of which in effect would turn the bus lane into a car pool lane.
I do wonder though if Addison Lee's fare charging system was metre based like the Hackney Carriage black cab would they be so passionate about not being able to use the bus lane?
