A test designed to test your knowledge gained by network coverage and observations! So it's not as easy to simply look up the answers on certain websites as it has been in the past . All questions have at least two valid answers, so unique answers are possible for every question .
As with the previous quizzes, the aim of the game is to score as few points as possible. Unique answers score one point. An extra point is awarded for each person who provides the same answer to the question. Incorrect or missing answers score 50 points.
There is one exception - a unique answer for Question 7a scores -2. Thereafter, normal scoring applies, so 2 points are awared if two people give the same answer. Missing or incorrect answers score 10.
All routes given must be TfL operated routes from 1 - X68. Answers given must comply with the information contained on the TfL website, where appropriate. Because of TfL's inconsistent policy with naming stops where there is an interchange between a bus station and railway station, for the purposes of this quiz, they all count as railway stations. Hammersmith, Kingston Cromwell Road and Stratford are examples.
The deadline is Friday the 5th October at 23:59. Answers must be sent to me by PM.
1. Name a route that crosses the River Thames more than once.
2. Name a route with a bifurication - the route must be timetabled to branch into two on weekdays at least. The route can either serve two different destinations, or take different routes to reach the same destination. Routes simply extended beyond the terminus do not count, nor do routes scheduled to avoid certain shopping areas or estates at certain times of the day.
3. Name a pair of routes which share the same vehicle throughout the course of the day.
4. Name a route that serves the same railway station twice, whilst going in the same direction. The list of stops must contain the same station name twice.
5. Name a route that does not serve a railhead. For the purpose of this question, the whole route circuit must be taken into account and the route must not serve a stop referring to a station or within approximately 300m of a station.
6. Name a station in Zones 1 - 3 which is not served by buses. For the purpose of this question, there must not be a bus stop that refers to the station.
7a. Name a bus stop that is simply named after the area it is in. The stop's name must consist of only one word.
7b. Name a bus stop that has an identical name to a Tube/NR station, but does not refer to the station itself.
8. Name a bus route I have driven. Hint: There may be some clues in the Abellio London thread.
9. Name a route that serves at least one Tube or NR station in both Zone 1 and Zone 5. The bus must serve stops specifically referring to the station.
10 Name a route that serves at least one Tube or NR station Zone 1 and at least two in Zone 6. The bus must serve stops specifically referring to the station.
11. Name a route where the vehicle must stop before passing through a security barrier, stating where it is located.
