Mile End is an awful station! The platforms are quite narrow, it's awkward to get across the road to, and it's a lot of stairs. I have reverted to using Stepney Green in the mornings just because I'm fed up of nearly being hit by a 277 as I cross the road from Mile End Saying that, nothing quite like watching my favourite Tube stock, the 1992, rushing into the Eastbound platform at great speed. No other Tube stock looks quite as nice as them. (Apart from the 1973 stock) North Greenwich is my personal favourite, I like the PEDs and the general design of the structure is very nice.

The 1992 stock is my fave as well, love the noise it makes when pulling in & out of each station. The one problem with North Greenwich is the lights never seem bright enough, gives it a gloomy atmosphere IMO. My favorite station is Brixton pretty much because it's the station I've used the most seeing as I live there. I also like the island platform arrangement at Clapham Common & Clapham North stations - quite quirky to see ;D

Mile End can be quite surreal when you are waiting for a train in the evening and it takes ages for anything to show up, so you have these four empty platforms full up of quiet people wanting to get home ;D
Some of the stations at the far end of the Met line such as Chesham and Moor Park are really country-fied and its hard to know that it's part of the London Underground.
My favourite would probably be Covent Garden and Embankment. I'm more a fan of the quiet stations with architecture that hasn't been modernised in recent years too much, such as stations between Paddington and Queens Park on the Bakerloo.

The 1992 stock is my fave as well, love the noise it makes when pulling in & out of each station. It looks the best as well - and it's got the huge doors which make getting on and off when it's crowded much easier, as well as having nice interior red and blue colours. It's also some of the fastest, you get some real speed on the Mile End-Stratford stretch whenever I'm going to Westfield (I don't bother sitting on the 25 for 20 minutes!)

Mile End is probably one of my least favourite stations. Dark and dingy, platforms too narrow etc. As mredd says though, its great seeing the 92TS pull in to the station.
Not sure I can say I have a favourite. Might be one of the 'cut and cover' stations, such as Baker Street or Liverpool Street. Get some natural daylight in them, plus at Liverpool Street you can see the old signal box.
Stratford on the Central Line is quite interesting I think. Seeing as it comes overground just for the station, plus its quite strange pulling up alongside 'big' trains. And the 92TS are my favourite aswell.
I might say that Amersham, Chesham or Moor Park might be my favourites, but it doesn't feel right calling them Underground stations lol.

Agree with all of Alex's choices, The speed the 92ts pulls into stations is just Another one for me is Epping, I'm sure they are still doing 30+ over the crossover!

Well it gives ease to the commuters to change trains to the mainline if they want to go to Ilford way. But it is indeed quicker then taking the 25 and 86 which follows the route. Agree with all of Alex's choices, The speed the 92ts pulls into stations is just yes it speeds and starts like a rocket!

I know someone would make a thread like this.. My favorite station is my beloved Bethnal Green. Due to it being my local station and most used for a quick access to Stratford and Oxford Circus or to see my Gf and interchange at Mile End for the District Line.

I dont quite understand the hate for Mile End, it did have a make over two or so years ago! Prefer it over Stepney Green or Bethnal Green any day. My favourite has to be one of the Jubilee stations in and around the THames, amazing stations. Im going for Canada Water.

What doesn't help Mile End's case is its stupidly low ceiling since the refurbishment, It feels like you've turnt into a midget ;D It is quite fun on the 92ts arriving into though

The problem with those stations is they seem slightly dim and dark looking, much prefer the tunnel stations like Brixton with its much brighter lighting. Another station I like is Bank but only on the Central Line due to the curved platform.

Quite like Epping station. However, I think its far too busy for its size. Certainly wasn't built for the current passenger numbers, which don't just come from Epping but also from North Weald, Ongar, Harlow, and i've even heard of people travelling in from Chelmsford. Its sometimes a nightmare on the forecourt with all the taxis, cars, buses, and lorries from the builders yard. Also something that annoys me is the lack of information about bus services.
