DW114 was a stunning rocket today on the 264,shame that they're getting withdrawn I concur as I was on it the other day. It will indeed be a sad day when they are finally withdrawn and I am presently enjoying the older[1] Voiths through Mitcham while they're still in service through town. [1] - DB250s and 06 reg Es on the 264 and 118 respectively

Travelled on 9504 the other night on the 156 and the bus now goes well into 6th gear, the driver having floored it so hard I actually thought it was going to go into 7th lol The bus doesn't appear to have had the gearbox modification for quick changes, suggesting that it's no longer restricted to 30 miles per hour as it's able to engage top gear. Also to note that it's one of the euro5 engined examples with the green stickers which may explain why she's more nippier now.
Despite everything I have said above I can't remember the last time I travelled on this particular bus so perhaps it may have been unrestricted for a long time?

Despite everything I have said above I can't remember the last time I travelled on this particular pass so perhaps it may have been unrestricted for a long time? A few of those doosties have had the speed limiters set to 45mph. Some of them have been TopoDynised but retain the dreaded restricted fuel pump programming. They have good pedals which need to be pressed past the restrictor to get them to rev up to 2000rpm. The Euro 4s are like the TAs in that the speed limiters keep changing. It's hard to keep up with which ones can do 45 or 56 and which have the 40mph limiter they were all set to 7 or so years ago. They also get the fuel pump treatment when it's discovered the performance restrictions have vanished!

Forgot to mention these from the last 2 days: ADE40407 is a great bus, very fast with the right driver, had an excellent ride on it the other day.
Got a ride on new VH45303 the other day and again a very nice bus that had decent pace.

T91 did 50!mph UP SALTERS HILL!!! (Speed limit is 20!)1.5x over speed limit but a very quick journey never the less (Seen on drivers speedometer not some sort of app) Why was T91 on Salter’s Hill in the first place? Have to say I’m dubious that a bus can reach 50mph along there.

Occasionally that used to happen on the 417 after school where drivers would floor the DLAs right up to the limiter before attacking the hill either side of the Elder valley. Some on the bus would cheer whilst others would look like they'd be sick. It's reckless behaviour because you don't know if someone will pull out of Elder Road and into the path of the bus.

TE838 is a very fast bus, wasn't on the motorway long but for the short period it was it flew! A few of the EW TEs may be worn out, but some sure are fast.
VW1372 was also a very fast one, got on it on the 186 earlier.
