Another missing feature these days are the blue diamond shaped stickers near the driver's cabs that said "Alarm, radio and CCTV fitted" or "Two-way radio fitted". I'm sure I've seen one Metroline President with one recently, Could of been imagining things though!

I remember the old Marshall DMS at G got those stickers around 2006/2007.

Was on VNW32404 yesterday and heard the "doors opening", "doors closing" words when the doors opened and closed instead of the warning sounds/siren. Haven't heard that on VNW before. What I won't miss are the "bus stopping at next bus stop, please stand well clear of doors" announcements on the now-gone London General EVLs...they were annoying!!! Add that to the bus bell push sounds and the door opening and closing warning sounds and iBus.....it was just very noisy buses, and that before you count the noise of the passengers! Does anyone remember the door opening and closing piercing sirens on First's DM/DMLs? I'm glad that' gone too! I do miss the clocks on Connex's TAs that used to sit just below the iBus displays, they were a useful feature, could tell the time without having to looking at your watch/phone

Was all made better when the 171 and 172 had their buses replaced! Most of the Go-Ahead fleet between 02-03 reg had the 'bus stopping at next bus stop' including the PVL's, WVL's & the PDL's. The 51 reg DP's that Connex had also had the clock.

The WVLs on the 85 had them as well. I'm not sure about the 213s PVLs if they still have them (I think they were removed too)

PDL26 now with Sullivan's Buses still has that announcement! Was quite a surprise when it went off for the first time, I was sitting at the back downstairs and that is where the speaker seems to be

Most of the Go-Ahead fleet between 02-03 reg had the 'bus stopping at next bus stop' including the PVL's, WVL's & the PDL's. The 51 reg DP's that Connex had also had the clock. Luckily it seems they were removed on refurbishment - they were very irritating announcements and I remember several occasions when people on the 171 would go to the driver and grumble about if they could be turned off. I liked the announcement - brought more charm about the vehicles. No one ever complained on the Brixton routes about them.

Do the PVLs on route 77 still have that annoucnement? I liked it on its own, but sounds terrible with iBus. All PVL's, PDL's & WVL's between 02 & 03 reg had the announcement Not sure if the EVL's had it?

The 4 (or more) via points on the front bus blinds seem to have disappeared, but they seem to have made a come-back on newly repainted / refurbished VPL633. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this!
