Usual rules (as I'm lazy and can't be bothered to write them all out ;D ), closing date/time Friday 22nd February, 21:00. I've tried to add a few more historical things in this quiz... 1) Name any currently used TfL garage that was used by London Transport's Wandle District. 2) Name any current TfL route that travels down any part of the A2 road. 3) Another route question : any current TfL route that penetrates the current Hertfordshire County Council area. 4) Name any London Transport garage that operated the BL class of Bristol LHs at any time. 5) Name any current TfL route that has been operated by Metroline post privatisation (1994), but isn't now. The route has to still be in existence now, but not necessarily in the same form as when Metroline ran it. 6) Name any type of double deck bus operated by London Country between 1970-1985. Class code will suffice, and the vehicle doesn't have to have been used for passenger duties. 7) Name any route that serves, or has served North Greenwich Bus Station since its opening. 8) Name any current TfL bus garage within the London Borough of Newham. 9) Name any current night bus service (N-prefix routes, no 24 hour services please) that has been in existence for at least 10 years continuously. 10) Name any current TfL bus service that's 5 miles long or less. The source for this will be Robert Munster's London Bus Routes webpages, and the two Heritage Routemaster routes do not count for the purposes of this question. Have fun, and PM me with answers! Answers received from: guybowden, Chris, mredd, DLA365, beaver14uk, snowman, romfordbuses, metrobus

If your not of a certain age (which most people doing these quizzes will nkt be above) you would have to google most of this to get answers. Unfortunately for that reason, I will be skipping this one as its not really a quiz if I am googling for answers to most questions

I know this might sound silly, but with regards to the Metroline question, does this include Armchair or Thorpes?

I made a guess at the other historical ones.

Question 1 I don't understand. Just type in London Transport Wandle District into Google and you'd get some were... You can pretty much guess based on where the River Wandle that gives it the name "Wandle District" goes

These quizzes are becoming so complicated that it's just not fun any more to take part. Well, you'd hate my quiz nights then! I don't think it's that complicated! I've tried to avoid questions that have loads of possible answers, and sprinkled in a few more historical questions that some people may appreciate. Sorry if you think it's complicated, but I'll guess its because some of the questions predate events in the 21st century... Re. Wandle District : this is one of the 8 'bus districts' set up by LT in 1979. The others were Selkent, Abbey, Tower, Forest, Leaside, Watling and Cardinal. Subsequently, Tower and Watling were merged with their neighbours, and then in 1988, the remaining 6 bus districts were split into 11 sections : Wandle being split into London General and South London. Which should give you clues! Re. Metroline : yes, that's my fault, I didn't make it clear : any Metroline owned company will be valid.
