Also I prefer to have the original Stagecoach interior back. P1270069 by capitalomnibus, on Flickr The arrows are awesome. I'm sure a certain Mr Vjaska would agree with you on that I like the arrows but the grey and red combination I was personally really not a fan of - there's a similar arrangement in Abellio vehicles (until recently, anyway) and I've never been a massive fan. Feels too dark inside, I find. Indeed I agree with 'freebbc', I also like the dark Abellio interior as well ;D

Dont mind the current Stagecoach seat design. Reminds me of Pacman.

Perhaps it's time for Go Ahead London to change their interior/ seat moquette? The current blue/dark blue/yellow (7 years old) starting to look outdated and tired, even on the their newest vehicles. The previous multicolour/grey/yellow interior wasn't much better either. Personally, I think the best way to go , would be a light blue/ turquoise, similar to LU's TLAs or Arriva's refurbished DW/DLA/VLA...

However, the new interior seems to stay looking good for ages - the DOE's interior for example, still looks fresh even after 6 years, same as the E's before refurb.

They haven't changed it in centuries! It doesn't look bad by any means, it's just outdated now. Looks great on the VPL/TPLs though. It would be great if GAL change their interior on upcoming refurbishments (PVLs, 486's Es) or on new buses...

The problem is simple - it gets dirty and looks shabby really quickly. This is one reason why LU has moved towards a darker, standardised moquette. The public create a load of mess and roads and tube tunnels are full of muck and dust that gets blown and sucked inside vehicles. Some of the seats on the relatively new Vic Line trains are looking fairly grotty despite being barely 2-3 years old. I suspect buses see worse abuse than tube trains.

Of the current moquettes, my favourite is probably the NBfL's. I personally think the NBfL's interior colour scheme is the nicest in London at the moment. My pet hate? Buses that have 'swimming pool' colour schemes inside. Yes, Metroline, that's you

Why can't TFL adopt it as their requirement for the off the shelf buses which the operator orders. Plus it will come with bench style seats as well. So since TFL can make the requirement for all new buses to be 100% red, then TFL can make the interior to NBFL style then. My most favourite interior overall is the Stagecoach one.

I would prefer if every bus was just 1980's LT interior with the custard coloured walls, brown panelling & black & orange patterned seats.

I understand that the unique design features of the Borismaster, including seat moquette and seat design are copyrighted by Heatherwick and TfL would have to pay substantial royalties to re-use them. Seat moquette design is obviously a matter of opinion, but those bench seats in the Borismasters are like concrete perch seats - give me the Esteban Civic or Lazzerini Practico anytime.
