I know a few bus routes which goes through the countryside.
The routes are 81, 405, 498, 375, 347, 465, 298, 370 and 372.
So are there more London bus routes which goes through the country roads?

The Westerham end of the 246 is lovely, one of the best scenic routes.

The 48, 55 & 56 become scenic when you cross the Lee Valley, as well as the 123 & 230.

The 20 and 397 go through Epping Forest. The 107 sees a few bits of greenery either side of Borehamwood. I like the 251 between Mill Hill and Totteridge - village greens, ponds etc. You've listed the 465 and I did enjoy my one ride on that route.
I'm guessing the 498 might see some green fields east of Harold Wood.

Polluted routes more like... ;D Scenic views of discarded shopping trolleys in the river You'll see the worst of that on the 34 ;D. Another route which is scenic is the 121 between Enfield and Oakwood.

Even with the awful Enviro 200's that I unfortunately used about 2 Saturdays ago? They rattle rather a lot but they're quite quick and the route is so nice that you don't really care. Extra points if you get a Dart or one of the Voith ones off the 314 though, they're much better. I've been told that the 246 batch are in bad shape & the routes timetable is also relaxed and personally, should be much tighter.
