"And when we move out, we will convert the old town hall into council flats." (I know we'll flog it to a developer, but I want to keep Jeremy on side) Commissars please note

Lord Mayors Show and subsequent Fireworks are taking place this Saturday in the City of London area, among the routes affected is the 45 on first day of Abellio operation. First the diversion is via Waterloo Bridge and Kingsway then I presume round the back of Holborn. Later on when the fireworks take hold, the diversion for the 45 is via London Bridge and Southwark Street returning to Blackfriars Road.

I was on the 58 last night going from Forest Gate towards Walthamstow. At Wanstead Park station the driver said that the bus is on diversion as Dames Road was closed due to some 'works'.
Route 58 diverted via Woodford road, Centre Road, Lake House Road and Cann Hall Road.
Route 308 diverted via Woodford Road and Centre Road.
Diversion is in both directions.

This coming weekend the 123, 179 and 462 are diverted away from Woodford Av between Gants Hill and Charlie Browns due to resurfacing work. The diversion is apparently via Eastern Av, Redbridge Roundabout and the A406. That works for the 123 obviously but less so for the 179 and 462 and the TfL website doesn't give the requisite detail for what happens to the 179 and 462 to get back to their specific line of route. The 462 could run via Beehive Lane and avoid Gants Hill to reach Longwood Gardens. I guess the 179 could loop back via Waterworks Roundabout to get back to Charlie Browns to regain the route via South Woodford. I suspect evening runs might be quite "high speed" on the 123.
Pity the poor souls on Woodford Avenue who lose their buses, other than the 128 at Claybury Broadway, for an entire weekend.

Still fun and games in Newham following a fire in a park last Friday resulting in the closure on the underpass under the A13 from Freemasons Road to New Barn street - seems to some type of issue after the fire??
Route 241 / 325 have changed diversion routes today. I think the traffic in Prince Regent Lane was causing far too many delays on these routes with countless turns and bunching.
Buses towards Stratford 241 and East Beckton 325 now run line of route to Freemasons, then A13 all the way back to Canning Town, then A13 New Barn street line of route
Towards Canning Town 241 / Prince Regent 325 buses run line of route to New Barn Street, then along A13 slip road to Prince Regents Junction, then back along A13 slip to Freemasons and line of route.

The 120 (and 105/195/E5) ended up on diversion again earlier due to an accident, this time on South Road in Southall. They were sent via The Broadway, Uxbridge Road, A312 The Parkway and Western Road. 482/H32 curtailed at Southall, The Green (although standing on Merrick Road), and E5 appeared to be running a split service (Perivale to Southall Town Hall, and Toplocks Estate to Southall Station. Pretty much a repeat of the first phase of diversions 11 days ago when the celebrations took place (apart from the E5, where the Toplocks end went to Bulls Bridge Tesco).
Metroline have really been tested on their knowledge of diversionary routes for the 120. Pretty much every section of the route has been affected by a diversion at some point during the last 4.5 months.

41/N41/N91 on diversion (south/westbound) via High Street Hornsey, Priory Road and Park Road due to overnight resurfacing of Tottenham Lane. They've been threatening this closure since Monday but had so far managed to keep one lane open - tonight they mean business, and the road is most definitely closed.

Been meaning to mention this all week:
When I wrote up the diversions for the fireworks display at Brockwell Park last Saturday, I noted that Atlantic Road was shut as well as the 322 was on diversion all day Saturday. Anyway, it's been on diversion all week with buses in both directions not serving the section of Atlantic Road between Brixton Road & Coldharbour Lane & southbound buses not serving Railton Road & Rymer Street.
Towards Crystal Palace, buses are diverted further along Brixton Road past the Underground Station, then Effra Road, Morval Road, Dalberg Road & Dulwich Road, rejoining the route at Herne Hill
Towards Clapham Common, buses are diverted at Atlantic Road via Coldharbour Lane, Effra Road, St. Matthews Road, Brixton Hill & the section of Brixton Road between the Town Hall & Atlantic Road, rejoining the route at Brixton Station.
I hope this isn't down to a rumoured pedestrian scheme that apparently was being implemented on Atlantic Road at some point.

Since then most Clapham bound 322s have gone the other way via Coldharbour Lane and Gresham Road, stopping at Brixton Academy, I'm guessing due to how awkward it would've been to pull into the lane with some road objects on the corner.
