Been meaning to mention this all week: When I wrote up the diversions for the fireworks display at Brockwell Park last Saturday, I noted that Atlantic Road was shut as well as the 322 was on diversion all day Saturday. Anyway, it's been on diversion all week with buses in both directions not serving the section of Atlantic Road between Brixton Road & Coldharbour Lane & southbound buses not serving Railton Road & Rymer Street. Towards Crystal Palace, buses are diverted further along Brixton Road past the Underground Station, then Effra Road, Morval Road, Dalberg Road & Dulwich Road, rejoining the route at Herne Hill Towards Clapham Common, buses are diverted at Atlantic Road via Coldharbour Lane, Effra Road, St. Matthews Road, Brixton Hill & the section of Brixton Road between the Town Hall & Atlantic Road, rejoining the route at Brixton Station. I hope this isn't down to a rumoured pedestrian scheme that apparently was being implemented on Atlantic Road at some point. Since then most Clapham bound 322s have gone the other way via Coldharbour Lane and Gresham Road, stopping at Brixton Academy, I'm guessing due to how awkward it would've been to pull into the lane with some road objects on the corner. I’ve not seen any doing that in all honesty but those who have gone via Gresham Road means the 322 skips Brixton Station entirely which is the most important stop for it in Brixton.

111 and H28 are on diversion due to resurfacing in Kingsley Road. Following is copied from TfL Status Alerts page: If you read the above, it has given two different routes the 111 takes in Hounslow, the first of which misses Hounslow Bus Station! When I typed in H28 the second bit was missing The one bus I saw on the 111 took the second route mentioned. Balfour Road is the side road opposite Travelodge which leads to Asda/Blenheim Centre from that side, and usually has no buses at all! A diversion I still need to cover Wonder which way the H28 actually went?

Lol, that’s a hell of a walk into Brixton from Kellet Road especially for the elderly.

There was another diversion for the 120 earlier this morning! This time via Iron Bridge and Greenford Broadway. I'm surprised they didn't send it via the 105 route between Lady Margaret Road and Ruislip Road, or the future 95 route via the full length of Somerset Road (as I saw them doing once). Also noticed the tweet was posted about an hour before the first 120, nice heads up there

Waiting for a 135 at its first stop at Old Street today I noticed that the stop had been equipped with timetables for the 4 and N41, which were among many routes diverted via Old Street during water works in Islington. Have to say I was surprised that TfL had gone to the trouble, not just of producing stop-specific timetables for the diversion, but also fitting them to random stops along the diversion route. Less surprising is that those t/t panels are still there two weeks after the diversion finished. As it happens, the 135 was also on a short diversion via Old Street and Shoreditch High Street instead of Great Eastern Street. Unfortunately the driver was one of those who refused to stop at bus stops along the diversion despite multiple bell rings. Eventually he relented when passengers asked to be let off while we were stuck in traffic - and inevitably every passenger who alighted immediately collided with a cyclist

The 118 and 201 were diverted late yesterday evening via St Helier's Avenue and Bishopsford Road (effectively via Rose Hill roundabout), this being due to the closure of Morden Road near the junction of Wandle Road.

Route P4 was on diversion via Adelaide avenue and brockley road tonight due to a selfish person deciding to park next to an island on ladywell road. The fire service turned up knocking on doors to try and get it moved. Unsure if they were successful. 36346 was the last bus through before the diversion.

Not a current diversion but an upcoming one over Christmas and into the New Year. The bridge over the NLL at Highbury and Islington is being replaced. This means Holloway Road will be completely shut just at Highbury Corner. There will be extensive diversions and bus route changes. I can't imagine traffic will be very freeflowing via Highbury Barn / Blackstock Rd / Finsbury Park! See this link for more info ---> tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/highbury-corner-bridge---a1-holloway-road

The 170s were earlier on a double diversion towards Roehampton, the first one being the scheduled long term rerouting via King's Road and the second one being via the Latchmere... due to the closure in the Vicarage Crescent area in the southbound direction.
This means that southbound buses return to line of route for only one stop (Battersea Bridge) before going onto the second diversion.

Waterloo Bridge is closed tonight for works, with most buses diverted via Blackfriars Bridge. Quite chaotic, and the new traffic light timings over the Blackfriars corridor don't help. Many 243s, 341s etc were curtailed at Aldwych, but some were sent through to Waterloo.
The banned right turn at Ludgate Circus caused additional problems for north/eastbound 4, 26 and 76. The 26 and 76 were sensibly sent via Queen Victoria Street, but the 4 was for some reason sent via Farringdon Street, Charterhouse Street and Holborn Viaduct. No idea why it wasn't just sent via the 388 route instead - not only would this have avoided much of the Ludgate Circus congestion, but would also have meant buses returned to the line of route earlier (at New Change instead of Little Britain). Either way, northbound buses missed out a significant chunk of the route. I wonder whether it would have been less disruptive to curtail the route at Aldwych instead; that way only two stops (Waterloo Stn and Waterloo Bridge) would have been missed out.

Due to an RTA yesterday evening at Tooting Broadway two sets of one way diversions were implemented;
Northbound 155/219/355, etc - diverted via Mitcham Road, Southcroft Road, Streatham St Leonard's Church and Tooting Bec Common... back on line of route from Tooting Bec Station
Southbound 44/77/270/280 - diverted from Garratt Lane via Fountain Road, Blackshaw Road and Tooting High Street, back on line of route from Tooting Broadway towards Mitcham
493 - diverted away from Tooting Broadway (direct from St George's Hospital to Fountain Road and Blackshaw Road towards Wimbledon)

My southbound 45 driver this morning ended up taking a wrong turning on the King's Cross one way system - did a right from King's Cross road onto Swinton Street instead of the parallel Acton Street, meaning he couldn't turn left onto Gray's Inn Road at the far end. Rectified by turning right onto GIR, then right again to perform a cautious squeeze down Britannia Street, resuming line of route on King's Cross Road. He did apologise over the tannoy!

Quite a few WL drivers know other routes, could well be that he hasn’t done the 45 in a while. At least he apologised.
