I dont believe there was a V321 KGW as the twenty nine buses originally ordered for Connex (3/N3) were TA1-20/22-30 (V301-320/322-330 KGW). A bus was acquired a few years later as TA21 but that was an ex-Capital Logistic Plaxton President on a DB250 chassis. That reg number i believe was T135 AUA[1] new to route 60 in the late 90s and used by Travel London initially on the 157 then mainly on the 156. [1] - I stand to be corrected

Ex Stagecoach DW153 NDZ3153 seen in Northampton on the A45 this evening in a blue livery looking like a non PSV. Not sure of is current role though. OJD127R was about in London yesterday, not sure of the current owner of this either.

Interesting that they skipped the number 21 completely, instead of simply choosing a registration that didn't have 321 in it, which presumably would have been reserved by the DVLA to be sold.

Interesting that they skipped the number 21 completely, instead of simply choosing a registration that didn't have 321 in it, which presumably would have been reserved by the DVLA to be sold. There were a few operators who went to great lengths to get registrations that matched the fleetnumbers. At one point Capital Citybus even went as far as taking their local DVLA office to court to force them to issue matching registrations!
Matching numbers got harder when the DVLA started to withhold more and more numbers for sale as cherished plates, and then became impossible with the new registration system anyway. In this case the DVLA did make a bit of money out of withholding V321KGW given that Southern Transit subsequently bought it.
