I believe the acquired a few to oust slightly older buses in their fleet. How many are they getting? Well they currently own the following: 2811 LK07AZF (ex TE729) 2812 LK07AZG (ex TE730) With 6 others due, which are supposed to be: 2813 LK07AZJ (ex TE731) 2814 LK07AZL (ex TE732) 2815 LK07AZN (ex TE733) 2816 LK07AZO (ex TE734) 2817 LK07AZP (ex TE735) 2818 LK07AZR (ex TE736) TE729/730 are the only ones that have entered service so far though - Great to see these ex EW beasts get put to further use.

Nice to see they have a few early TEs still knocking about they was may favourite after the 55 plates

Here's a bit of a niche request:
Does anybody know if any of the 41 L's that were refurbished for the 2 & 68 just after the millennium ever entered preservation? These are the ones which received a refurb into Arriva interior which included yellow handrails, non slip flooring, Arriva moquette, the walls becoming aqua & cream, hopper windows, continuous strip lighting & the old semi-auto gearbox replaced by a 3 spd Voith box. I know a number of original condition L's went into preservation but no idea if any of those 41 refurbished ones doing so.

Go-Coach have apparently withdrawn the Tridents from their fleet, including ex-Connex TA27 (V327 KGW). I think they only had two, and other I think was ex-Stagecoach 17291 (X291 NNO). FYI, TA27 is pretty much unaltered from when it was with Abellio (should only be missing the assault screen) so may be good for preservation. Same for 17291. www.flickr.com/photos/darrent857/48507638887/

8 former Arriva London DW's currently with Vision Bus of Bolton (UK Coachways) are being offered for sale by Chartwell Bus Sales for £11,500. It appears these would include DW5, DW7, DW14, DW16, DW24, DW48, DW59, DW66 and DW69 (although one from that batch may remain). Wonder if one of these may enter preservation www.chartwellbussales.co.uk/buses_details.php?bus=143

Just a minor point, weren't these refurbished for the 2 and 249 rather than 2 and 68? The 68 was being converted to DLA at the time.
Nice to see one is being preserved even if it looks like a lot of work!

As for TA27, I would have quite liked it as a second bus. I'm still in the market for one, something with a Cummins C245-20 engine, ZF gearbox and LEZ compliant!

L261 is destined to be preserved back to London Buses specs, including the plan to bring back the middle door. Photo credit to Martin Macey who also owns the bus.
