So since there are enthuaists preserving their own buses. I just wonder if you had your own way and you have the space to put your favourite bus into 1 area. What would your bus be? I am not sure what bus i would like to have but there are many interesting ones about.

Scania Metropolitan in T&W yellow livery.
update
as others are choosing more than 1 bus I should therefore add
Bristol RE / ECW Leyland National 2 Daimler Fleetline / Alexander single deck Volvo Ailsa / Alexander
all the above are childhood favourites.
Oh and a Citaro bendy bus. ;D if I have to have a more recent bus.

Any of the S reg DLAs would keep me happy. Refurbished with latest Arriva livery and interior.

Modern day buses would have to be an EH from the 436 batch and I would love to get one of big buses 3 axle non air con condor's and put the roof back on it.
Older buses would be a Bristol LH (LT code BN/BS/BL), in red or NBC green.
But ATM I'm happy doing up my dad's GS.

Older Buses - a Titan in London Central livery, Metrobus in Cowie South London livery, two L class ECW Olympians (both in Arriva London livery but 1 to the refurbished Arriva interior, the other with LT interior), Volvo Citybus in London General livery & Scania N113DRB East Lancs Cityzen in Brighton & Hove livery - any from that lot will do me
Newer Buses - one each of the V, Y & 51 reg in Connex livery

Another bus I'd love to own is one of Metroline's TAs (TA88?). They were a lovely, unique batch of buses. Miss them...

VA74, TA346 and a post-SP109 SP (they are actually good buses after that point). Possibly ADE8 to stop chav p***ks getting on it I would'nt mind preserving a Metrobus, these ran on the 111 until 2000 so I wouldn't remember that era, though a remember seeing Metros as late as 2002 on the 111.

* MCW Metrobus with either the original Gardner engine or a 8.9 litre Cummin unit
* euro2 engined ZF box Trident, like VJ preferably an ex Connex example, Retrofitted with ABS braking
* euro3 engined Voithbox Trident, Ideally one of the ex-Stagecoach examples (Three or four speed variant)
* euro2 engined Dennis Dart Retrofitted with either a Voith or a five speed Allison box
or
* euro3 engined Dart on a MCV bodywork retrofitted with a six cylinder engine, Cummin or otherwise
* euro2 engined DB250, Ideally one of the Arriva examples on the ALX400 or Plaxton President bodies
If I was to pick the ultimate favourite of the above, I would go for the euro2 engine Trident.

A Routemaster, all the way! ;D
Something ex-route 12 still with the ribbon route branding in place.
