Blog also says it is overheight for US roads, so needed a special route. Also it appears it is LT1 that was back at Ballymena for upgrade, but was shipped via Southampton Therefore I assume the Arriva fleet (for 38) has officially been reduced from 8 buses as it has been exported (for time being) I did question what happened to the PVR of the 38 in these situations, where there's more than one NB4L doing something. Do CT put an extra bus on the conventional 38? Wasn't the pvr on the 38 recently reduced, or has that not happened yet?

The NB4L 38 contract is separate to the normal 38 contract, its different to a normal tender, as its a negotiated Gross cost contract (where TFL takes the financial risk). The NB4L contract has a clause in it that allows for things like vehicles being un available for various reasons etc, arriva don't have to provide replacements. The 24 will be different, there' be a full allocation of NB4L's on the existing Tendered-Quality incentive contract.

I like to see a ALX400 Trident (Stagecoach one) in America. I'd like all tridents to go to the USA unfortunately we aren't that lucky .

I see that NBFL is going into service on Route 11-in September, 2013 So that means it will be transferred from Arriva to Go Ahead London. The LT1 should stay with the 8 prototypes on the 38 as it should be. I like to see a ALX400 Trident (Stagecoach one) in America. I'd like all tridents to go to the USA unfortunately we aren't that lucky . There are American buses which have the Dennis Trident sounding bus because of the similar engine and gear box.
