Another thing with this new set up, if you log out and then click the log in logo you can log back in again without putting in the ID and password.
So if you are using a computer that others have access too you need to log out TWICE.

Now I'm finally used to this set up I'm quite enjoying it and its features as it flags up things that interest me and I can find out when people quote or like my posts.

I see the option for users to change their own username/ display name has been removed, annoyingly. Why?

This "members can't change thier display name" block isn't new, it was activated on the old forum software too.
I reason I have disabled this feature again is because some members keep changing thier name frequently and thus it becomes difficult to work out who they were previously known as. If you really want to change your name you can always contact one of the staff members and we will consider the request.
Is it really that difficult to keep to the same identity on this forum so that members know who is who.
Another thing that also helps is for members to have an unique avatar, I feel it is much easier to know who has posted a certain post just by glancing at the avatar, rather than just a name.

I like the fact that you can now click on the tiny little icon (if you have a notification) above the 'Profile' icon and it takes you straight to notifications, even on the mobile site. Is this a new feature?

There is only one problem I have. When I go to post on an existing thread (not using the Quick Reply) the background for typing changes instantly from white to an annoying grey. Annoying only because it is hard to see the cursor if you want to move around in your text making corrections or rewording.

Hi which forum livery are you using so i can get the techie guys to look into the issue for you.

Red and orange. Sorry for delay in responding. I was busy for a few days. I have been working on this and have identified the issue. You are using the "London" livery and I do actually agree with you, the cursor was difficult to see on the dark grey background of the "reply" box. To resolve the issue I have changed the colour to a lighter shade of grey (and tested it, as I generally use another livery to view the forum). Tangy Technical Team
