Given the recent increase in the number of you sharing your photos on here (something to do with the weather?!) I thought I'd take the opportunity to remind you all of the importance of protecting your copyright. As has been pointed out here by a few members, it's dead easy for anyone looking around here to save your work onto their own computer and then pass it off as their work somewhere else. Please all consider watermarking your images BEFORE you put them up here. For those of you with access to Photoshop, take a look at this (not my video!): www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWbaTjw4kgoFor those of you adding your photos through iOS devices I'd recommend "iWatermark" available as both a free (adds the developers watermark to images as well as your own) or paid for app (£1.49 but no additional watermarks) with the added bonus of being a universal app meaning one purchase covers both iPhone and iPad. Check it out here - CLICKY. Don't know any for the Android users though I suspect there are some out there. Regards, Greeny Forum Moderator

Given the change that has allowed non-members to peruse the forums perhaps we could set something up 'behind closed doors' so to speak to share photos - I know other enthusiast forums have dedicated sub-forums for such things. Those wishing to publish them more widely are of course free to do so on flickr among other things

The other thing to do is to check if you can put your name into the EXIF data so that each image will have your name as the photo's creator / owner. I don't know if all cameras allow this but it is worth connecting your camera to a PC and seeing what the setup / camera control function allows.
I understand it is hard for image thieves to manipulate the EXIF data.

Ask and Tangy shall deliver . I refer you all to the new members only area in the "Photography & Video" board. And in an attempt to get ahead of a barrage of questions, I've logged out and checked and can confirm that "Guest" users can not see the board. Edit: I've moved some existing threads already but on an iPad screen, advanced moderation isn't easy. I'll do some more in the morning from a computer.
