If you want to be just like an I-Bus controller and view buses moving along any London Bus Route in real time you can now do it. The chap behind the Real Time Trains website has now used I-Bus data to do the same for buses. linktraintimes.org.uk/map/london-buses/#73The url defaults to route 73 but you can select any route from the drop down menu. Click on a red dot to see the details of the vehicle (not fleet number though).

I was following the 73 for a couple of minutes. Approaching Marble Arch on its way to Victoria, one bus (on the map) didn't bother going up to Park Lane and turning left. It seemed to take a more direct path in the Mayfair back streets. Witnessed a head on collision between a 187 and a 440 in Minerva Road NW10 - a one way street. The 440 was going in the correct direction while the 187 had turned off North Acton Road too early instead of going up to the roundabout. It also used unknown back streets to get back on line of route

The bus info isn't from the GPS on the buses - it is guessed data - buses will always go in a straight line to the next 'stop' using the Countdown timings info as a approximation to position the 'bus' relative to the next stop.
