Yesterday: 134 - Highgate to Gower St (VW) - Same old 134, always good. 10 - Gower St to Exhibition Rd (SP) - Same old 10, always good. Had an exam... then came home... 328 - Earl's Court - Golders Green (I can't remember all those Tower Transit Codes, it was a Trident President) - Rather slow, especially around West Hampstead. And I don't like First's interior at all - I hope Tower Transit gets its own interior style! 210 - Golders Green - Channing School (TA) - I've never ever had a bad experience on the 210 - Metroline always do a great job on the 210. Then in the evening... 134 - Highgate to Gower St (VW) - Same old 134, always good. 10 - Euston Square to Hammersmith (SP) - Not the same old 10! I was at the Gower St stop, and the 10 didn't show up on the countdown, so I went to the previous stop, which did show a 10 coming... then it disappeared once it was due - the d*mn bus that should have come was starting from Gower Street Evening at the pub 27 - Hammersmith - Camden Town (ADH) - The 27 is great at night - always speeding through the streets N20 - Camden Town - Highgate (VW) - Nothing very intersting here. For me it was just a 134 with a different number. Today I took quite a lot of buses as well, was in and out of uni 43 - Highgate - Holloway Nag's Head (VW) - My rides on the 43 have had a 100% frequency... of changing drivers at Upper Holloway. Darn Metroline. 29 - Holloway Nag's Head - Trafalgar Square (HV) - Smooth ride. 53 - Horse Guards - Deptford Bridge (Scania OmniCity) - I was lucky that there was one coming soon enough, instead of getting a boring ol' Enviro 400. So, of course, I waited. Scania OmniCities with the actual Stagecoach beachball moquette look pretty good. I was expecting a massive bridge at Deptford... 47 - Deptford Bridge - City Hall (ALX400) - I like Stagecoach Tridents. Decent route. 78 - City Hall - Liverpool Street (T) - I wanted a 42... but the 78 came so fast I didn't know what to do. 388 - Liverpool Street - Bank (The bus that looks like a Vyking but I forgot its name) - First ever ride on a CT Plus bus. I was going to take it all the way to Blackfriars, then take a 45, then a 10, but then I would be late for my afternoon lecture. 11 - Bank - Westminster - There were a lot of tourists on that bus navigating around me to take pictures... 148 - Westminster Bridge - Hyde Park Corner (SP) - The buses were on diversion as Victoria St was closed... so I ran across the bridge to get to the South Bank to take it. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO GET NB4LS... LEAVE MY OMNICITIES ALONE!!!! 52 - Hyde Park Corner - Royal Albert Hall (VHW) - Quick as ever - I wasn't late for my lecture. (Y) Lecture then late lunch... 74 - Gloucester Road - London Hilton Hotel (Older WVL) - There were two next to each other... I took the empty one behind... the driver asked me if the bus was full... I said 'kind of' 10 - London Hilton Hotel - Gt Titchfield Street (SP) - Had to get something quickly before I went back to uni then... 10 - Gt Titchfield Street - Royal Albert Hall (SP) - Same old 10, always good. Then after I was finished at uni... 10 - Knightsbridge - King's Cross (SP) - I really hope the 10 doesn't get NB4L. 17 - King's Cross - Archway (TE with the iBus screen actually at the front of the bus) - I do wish this route had a higher frequency... but then again my rides on the 17 are always smooth and very quiet (I tend to ride the 17 at night). There were loads of people at the bus stop at King's Cross - most of them wanted to take the 390 - there were two coming within two minutes of each other, but most of the people piled on to the first 390 - an already relatively full bus - I was surprised that everyone managed to fit in. The next 390 was pretty empty too. :\ 43 - To avoid having to experience yet another change of drivers I got this bus from Archway instead of the Nag's Head... because OF COURSE there would've been a change of drivers. Wow... I took a lot of buses the past two days I can cross some routes off my list... Well... since I'm going out tomorrow... yay, more buses.

104 to Manor Park (Didn't know there was a diversion. Didn't go through East Ham) West Ham were playing at home today, so in that case the 104 gets diverted. Usual route is via Plashet Grove to East Ham and turning left onto High Street North to continue to Manor Park (the road the 238 uses between Green Street and East Ham). It still serves East Ham Station (use stop "Plashet School" though) but misses out The Boleyn, Hatherley Gardens, Lonsdale Avenue, High Street South and Newham Town Hall.

Took the extended and re-routed 308 from Clapton Pond to Wanstead. 50 minutes long and it could have been done in 40. 7 passengers in total. (Looks like W15 could suffer as result between Leyton and Hackney) Then W12 from Wanstead to Walthamstow, Coppermill lane.

(Looks like W15 could suffer as result between Leyton and Hackney) Then W12 from Wanstead to Walthamstow, Coppermill lane. I also took a spin on the 308 today. 1 other person joined the bus at Clapton with me. They told me they were pleased with the new link. Of note was the 242 on diversion both ways via Clapton Pond - apparently a RTC somewhere in Clapton Park. There were some concerned / confused looks of the faces of some of the people on the 308 as it veered off the old route to go via the Olympic Park. I-Bus announced the Lea Interchange and Velopark stops as closed but only the latter actually was. People got on and off at the garage stop. Plenty of people got off the 308 at Stratford City while a few others had got off earlier looking very lost indeed! Of the 308s I saw loadings were a bit variable - some very full, others lightly loaded. I agree the W15 will probably get hit by people still wanting to reach Leyton from Hackney / Homerton. The 388 I was on - HTL3 - completely failed to register on LVF as we travelled along. The displays and announcements on the bus itself were working fine. My wanderings in total W11 Train 308 388 45 Tube 123

Took a little spin after I found out what I was supposed to do was cancelled as soon as I got there... 134 from Southwood Avenue (VW) - Gower St. I've ran out of things to say for these 134 journeys. They always run swimmingly. Good job, Metroline. Seriously. 10 from Gower St - Royal Albert Hall (SP) - When you take a bus almost every day, it's hard to come up with something to say... so, I've taken the 10 for half a year and it's only failed me twice during that period. So I find out that my event is cancelled, so a walk through Hyde Park which takes me to... 94 - Victoria Gate - Shepherd's Bush (TLA27) - I missed another TLA, so I let a boring ADH pass to catch the TLA27 that came after it! 207 - Shepherd's Bush - Ealing Common (SN) - I couldn't find the bus stop at first... since all the bus stops at Shepherd's Bush station were closed for some reason. Metroline's OmniCitys with that ugly First interior aren't as nice as London United's... though they would look nice with Metroline's much nicer interiors. A relatively unexciting ride... 112 - Ealing Common - Brent Cross (Caetano Nimbus) - It wasn't too bad, but the bus driver kept on waiting at stops (perhaps to keep with the timetable, I guess it isn't a high-frequency route). The driver turned down someone paying a fiver, so he had to be separated from his girlfriend. How sad. 102 - Brent Cross - Temple Fortune Lane (T35) - So that completes the 102 for me. 460 - Temple Fortune - Finchley Central (VP) - The 82 and the 460 were very close to each other. They had to fight for my custom. The 460 won. Once I was done in Tesco's... 82 - Finchley Central - North Finchley (TE) - There was yet another battle with the 460, this time, the 82 reigned supreme... unfortunately the top deck was half-filled with a noisy kids' football team 134 - North Finchley - Southwood Avenue (VW1276) - I don't know what to say. It was just an average 134 ride. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yesterday's was more interesting... it did after all last into today 134 - Southwood Avenue - Gower St (WHAT ELSE WOULD IT BE) - A typical 134 ride... until we reached the Prince of Wales Road stop. Some foul-mouthed men got on. Seriously, one of the guys could hold the world record of using the most swear words in a sentence. The person next to me asked: Are they for real? Sadly, yes. 10 - Gower St - Oxford Circus (SP) - OK, this one was pretty average. 94 - Oxford Circus - Holland Park Roundabout (SLE43) - All the time the bus was moving, the bus was making this hissing sound... Still not a fan of OmniDekkas... 49 - Holland Park Roundabout - Gloucester Road (VE) - ...I much prefer the Vykings. After the cinema... 14 - Old Church Street - Hyde Park Corner (Old VWL) - Marred by two weirdos on the bus making strange noises, trying to annoy me. I couldn't wait to get out. 19 - Hyde Park Corner - Holborn (Hybrid) - The journey was cut short because I was bursting for a whizz I had to wait like half an hour for the next 19 after I did what I needed to do... I was pretty mad 43 - Angel - Highgate (VW1290) - This journey was most interesting indeed. I was sat next to a man at the bus stop (who didn't smell very good), who... just blurted out random quotes. The 43 came, filled up fast, and he sat behind me, making for some interesting listening. The bus driver zoomed past the next stop leaving a lot of angry passengers waiting (the next 43 would be in 20 minutes). The driver kept on forgetting to let people out at the stops... and the weird man was saying such random stuff. I believe I sat next to him another time before at Southwood Avenue. I'm sure it was him. When I left the bus... I could've been mugged... nah, it was a drunk guy. He said he would have mugged me for the 'beer' I was holding. I was holding a bottle of water.
