We spend a lot of time coming up with ideas to improve bus routes on the forum. However a New Year means we can't keep raiding the piggy bank and have to, instead, sharpen the axe and start cutting services to save money. Therefore your ideas for saving money are requested. Please nominate :- One route you'd scrap altogether without replacement. Route 415 is taken as read so can't be nominated. One route where you'd reduce early morning and evening services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by. You can, if you wish, scrap service at these times completely. One route where you'd reduce peak hour services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by. One route where you'd scrap a section of route. Please say which section you'd scrap. One route where you'd scrap Sunday services. Clearly passengers may be inconvenienced by your proposals but we don't care. We must save money!!

Whole route to scrap : 359
Route to reduce early morning/late evening services : T32. Early morning to x30 min, evening service after 2000, goodbye!
Route to reduce peak hour services : the 36 to a uniform x6 min, rather than the hotchpotch x4-6 min currently.
Route to remove a section from : a tough one, but on balance, I think I'd remove the 492 east of Dartford.
Route to remove Sunday service from : that'll be the T32 again - sorry to all T32 users!

May I ask why you would want to scrap the 199?

I'd scrap the 160 as the service is appalling and has been ever since Arriva Fake Thameside took over the route.

One route you'd scrap altogether without replacement: I know I'll get lot of flack for this but I have to nominate 129 and also 291.
One route where you'd reduce early morning and evening services: T32

I think with some of those, I'd seriously consider a replacement for parts of those routes you mention, Connor. I'd put either the 47 or 188 through the Pepys Estate as a 199 replacement, a route to replace T33 through Selsdon Vale (maybe 353) and rerouting the 244 to cover the Overton Road/Alsike Road parts of B11. Really though, there are much more worthy candidates for axing than 178, 199 or B11, imo.

I'll nominate the 482 to be axed without replacement. What about the large number of employees to/from Heathrow and Southall who use the route? Possibly reduce frequencies at certain times of the day, but leave it at that.

One route you'd scrap altogether without replacement.
The 25. Think of the money we'd save!
One route where you'd reduce early morning and evening services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by. You can, if you wish, scrap service at these times completely.
The RV1. Completely cut all service apart from daytimes.
One route where you'd reduce peak hour services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by.
The 12. Cut it back to every 7-8 minutes across the board
One route where you'd scrap a section of route. Please say which section you'd scrap.
The 343 between Elephant and City Hall. They annoy me.
One route where you'd scrap Sunday services.
The 133. Don't like working Sundays.

Reduce the late evening frequency around 10pm onwards on the 120 to every 20 minutes, possibly 30 minutes. Route 474 to be reduced to every 30 minutes between 9pm and just after midnight, with the night service withdrawn. Route 366 on weekday mornings to be reduced from first bus until 7am to every 30 minutes.

I'll do one for my own area and then I'll return later on with one for the rest of London and see who I annoy One route you'd scrap altogether without replacement. Route 415 is taken as read so can't be nominated. Everyone loves the 415 Since my first choice is gone, then I choose the T32 - it rarely carries passengers compared to even the T31 which carries a fair few and it shouldn't in convene too many passengers. One route where you'd reduce early morning and evening services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by. You can, if you wish, scrap service at these times completely. The 118 - it's always has seemed to be the lightest used of all Brixton Hill routes and I'd rather reduce that than routes on the outskirts of London TBH. One route where you'd reduce peak hour services. Please say how much you'd reduce services by.Probably one of the 2, 133 or 159 - would only reduce the frequency by about 2 minutes max One route where you'd scrap a section of route. Please say which section you'd scrap. The 109 or 250 between Brixton & Streatham Hill (Telford Avenue) - there is still another 6 routes serving the same section so I'm sure we can cope One route where you'd scrap Sunday services.Again, the 109 or 250 will have to take the brunt here.

Best way to save money would be to axe the many members of TfL earning obscene amounts of money

Rather get rid of the 333 and also the 255.
